It makes sense, but they could still counter this with firmware so that there are no doublepresses when writing especially.
Ok I just messed with it… interestingly enough, mine was set to 2000 Hz. I changed it to 1000 Hz and it still had problems, I bumped it up to 8000 Hz and problems went away… I put it back down to 1000 Hz, probably still gone… ?! I wonder if just banging around on the Polling Rate gets it out of some buggy state. It was only a quick test… I’ll have to use it for a couple hours to know if it’s REALLY fixed.
I used to be able to type 50 lines of ‘o’ (a key that repeats) and it would always have 4 or 5 repeats. Now I’ve done 50 lines 4 times in a row without a single repeat.
I have already RMA’d the Blackwidow V4 once for the double typing issue, and the replacement is starting to exhibit the issue too. This happens when both Synapse is and is not installed. (I use the keyboard on my work computer which cannot have Synapse installed.)
I’m frustrated enough to go look at alternative brands.
I went to the dealer today
I told them the problem and asked for an exchange with another brand. They said they could not make an exchange without a service report. I leave the keyboard.
I'm waiting for their return. If I get a positive result, I'll switch to another brand. As much as I love Razer, I can't fix this problem. I've been using Razer for over 10 years. I've used the Bw 2019 for over eight years.
By the way, changing the pool rate didn't work for me.
Update: Saw some videos that sometimes residue get stuck in fabrication and can be clean with Isopropyl Alcoohol 99%. . I oordered some and will let you guys know if that helps.
So I cleaned the switches with 99% Isopropyl Alcoohol and it solved (for now) my problem.
1-unplugged the keyboard.
2-Remove keys.
3-Don’t be shy with the 99% Isopropyl Alcoohol.
4- Let it dry 15-20 min.

It might be that you reconnected the keyboard more than the fact that you cleaned it, since that helped for me too for some time. 1 weeks old keyboard can’t require any cleaning wtf

I tried the keyboard on a different computer and I had the same problem. The cleaning was 100% the solution needed in my case.
I’m also having this issue only a couple weeks after using from new
Same situation
Nothing helps, cleaning, reinstall switches
Reinstall switches? You have the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75 (the hot-swappable version)?
Yep. I have v4 75%. I tried to reinstall switches, because found some info about that issue at reddit
I swaped some not so popular used keys switches to the other that have this bug, but it not helps
Looks like it hardware issue
I don’t know, but to 100% exclude switches problem, today I bought a new Orange switches set
Will wait a week for a delivery and retest it
Because right now it’s very annoying, I’m a programmer
And this double bb, tt, aa, ff, double enter or backspace really gets me angry :)
Also want to point that I have a dual boot at my PC, and this bug exists at the both systems. Windows 11 and Ubuntu
I wasn’t wrong guys
Today I’ve got the same new orange mechanical switches pack
I found 8 switches, that had a doubling issue, replaced them
And the issue return back after some hours :(
Sorry brothers,
I was wrong about that I wasn’t wrong,
At my situation as I told you before
I bought a new one https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboards-accessories/Razer-Mechanical-Switches/RC21-02040300-R3M1 for my BlackWidow v4 Pro 75%
At the first time I changed switches to a new one, some buggy keys continued doubling
But guys, who knows that in a brand new one 36 switches will be also some buggy ones? :)
So after some replacing the switches I removed all the buggy
And hooray now I have clearly working keyboard,
It was funny and sad at the same time
So, maybe someone of you this information will also help!
Also I can share some funny experience about https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboards-accessories/Razer-PBT-Keycap-Coiled-Cable-Upgrade-Set/RC21-01490800-R3M1
As it’s described in the specs, it’s not compatible for our 75% keyboard, but nevertheless I bought it
Whose keycaps not suit for our keyboard: rightAlt, rightShift, pgUp, pgDn, insert
All the others suit, also I want to mark that PBT keycaps transmits light less than ABS, so these not suitable keycaps lights brighter
All the best everyone!
I was thinking the saame thing . Btw as you can see i have the same issue and since swapping the switches was somewhat fixing the issue ffor some time i thought switches is the issue, So i guess i will order some other brand good quality switches to resolve my issue i guess. But thanks for testing out with new switches and taking the time to reply here so other ppl know !!!

So in other words lube might be the issue of these keys. Because usuaaly you don't lube tactile switches.

Explain why? It doesn’t matter if it’s tactile or linear - you can lube both.
I am experiencing the same problem, my keyboard is brand new and hhas had this problem since the start, it is not a cleaning issue. Model: Razer Blackwidow V3 (Razer Green Switch).
I’m curious if its the switches themselves, or the bboard. As others have suggested here, I’ve tried switching out the repeating switches with ones that were not affected and sometimes it seems to work. I’ve noticed that some of the bad switches that I’ve changed out are now rrepeating on keyys that previously didn’t have this issue.
Has anyone tried taking the bbad switches from their BlackWidow and tried putting them on another hot-swappable keyboard? If the issue persists then fixing the repeating issue could be as simple as buying new sswitches. I would try this myself but sadly this is the only hot-swappable keyboard I own.
Hello everyone,
Same issue here : D and Space keys are not responding 8 times on 10. How can we be sp many with the same issue…
I asked a RMA yesterday morning in order to have a new BWv4. Do you guys know how many time it can take? Can they send a new keyboard without waiting for us to send the issued one ?

I shipped my keyboard out on September 29 and did not receive a replacement until October 9. They won’t send you a replacement until they have the old one first.
I just fixed this issue with two of my switches. I pulled the switches out the board and poured isopropyl alcohol on them, spammed the switches several times, then let them dry. Put them back in and all is back to normal now.
I had the issue that A and E repeatet itself i replaced the keyboard with the same one i just bought a new one because the email suort takes ages…
I have now the same issue with the BRAND NEW keyboard with the letter P
Get your quality control in shape razer
2 Keyboards the same issue...
Same problem here on the V4 75%
Chiming in to say I’ve had the same problem with both my previous 2014 Blackwidow, and my current V4 which I’ve had since August 2023.
Last keyboard was always the L, H and A keys. Current keyboard it’s the I and T keys.
Have tried many things… cleaniing (<example there), with/without Synapse running, on other PCs, etc.
Defiiniitely (<ARGH) will be the last Razer product I purchase, as itt doesn’t seem like anyone has had any promising solution. A shame, as I do like their aesthetic, but this is just beyond frustrating.
Still no resolution on this? I am having issssues with the Razer Blackwidow V4 75. Mostly with the s key as you can teell. Also e. I’m pretty fed up with thiss. Support should bee on here chiming in.

Set 1k polling rate

Set 1k polling rate
That’s not a solution. I should be able to use whatever polling rate the keyboard can offer. The solution is a fix for whatever is happening at all polling rates. This board isn’t cheap. I have a ticket open, when I pull the affected repeating key and put it back in, it doesn’t repeat anymore… but then a different key repeats. Like playing whack a mole. Problem just moved around the board.
I had the same issue on my blackwidow v4 UK full-sized where the e,i,a,d keys sometimes but the enter basically every second time registered two times. I sent back the keyboard, razer checked it and I got a new one which works perfectly.

that was supposed to be just a temporary solution, real solution is to return, RMA or sell it since this never won’t be fixed until their new kb launch most likely
Has anyone trried to ssee if different sswitches (non razer) has solved the issue?
