All the keys are repeating sporadically when I type. Sometimes it has no response when depressed, such as the arrow keys or punctuation keys. I have to spend a lot of time checkingg the spelling and missing letters.
If there is any typo here it is because I gogt fed uup on correction.

I’d try keyboard without Synapse (just close it from tray).
Hi @ventureLavenderBlush830,
You can try the steps here for further isolation. Should the issue persists, please PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and check for other steps to help you address the input problem of your Razer Keyboard.

I tried some of the steps. 1) new keyboard, just got it yesterday, no cleaning needed. 2) I uninstalled Synapse and used the Razer Driver Cleanup tool, then reinstalled Synapse. 3) I have a green key keyboard, so I know that I’m only pressing the keys once to type, and I like the clicking sound.
After cleanup, the key spamming reduced by more than half but still happens. Another issue that wasn’t quite fixed is when I use the arrow keys or number keypad and the +,-- signs, it sometimes doesn't register the key press, and no characters came out. Like the ‘ or /, etc.

Thanks, I did that and it didn’t really work. Not sure if it is a software glitch or a hardware one. My feeling is that the electric signals between the keyboard and the laptop is “delayed”?? thus causing the laptop to register and display 22 keys (this was a key spam, supposed to be 2) I didn’t correct it.
You can do clean Synapse re-install with driver reinstall - this may help in some cases.
Uninstall Synapse
Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers
Then restart your PC
After reboot install Synapse again (as administrator).
I assume, that keyboard cable is connected to at least USB 3.0 (or above) port directly into motherboard, and not via USB HUB?
Did you’ve tried this keyboard on other PC? Does it also spam?
Exact same repeating issue. Brand new keyboard. I found something that helps 98% of the time. Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Device and Printers Right click on Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro. Click on Keyboard Settings. Then click on the “Speed” tab. You will see sliders for Repeat delay and Repeat rate. Set these too LONG and SLOW (all the way)
Repeating for numerous letters was occurring on my new BlackWidow keyboard, every two words or so.
While typing this, repeating STILL occurred. But only 3 times total. MUCH better. Still, for an expensive keyboard, shouldn’t be doing this at all.
Same situation Nothing helps, cleaning, reinstall switches

Reinstall switches? You have the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75 (the hot-swappable version)?

Yep. I have v4 75%. I tried to reinstall switches, because found some info about that issue at reddit I swaped some not so popular used keys switches to the other that have this bug, but it not helps Looks like it hardware issue I don’t know, but to 100% exclude switches problem, today I bought a new Orange switches set Will wait a week for a delivery and retest it Because right now it’s very annoying, I’m a programmer And this double bb, tt, aa, ff, double enter or backspace really gets me angry :)
Also want to point that I have a dual boot at my PC, and this bug exists at the both systems. Windows 11 and Ubuntu
Same issue here on both Windows and Ubuntu. Brand new keyboard. It happens more with some keys, e.g. “i” and “c” are systematically repeating, and sometimes even after the next key I press (e.g. when quickly typing “attention” I get “attentioin” on the screen). I’ve tried several things to mitigate this issue but nothing seems to help.
I am also having the same issue, mostly with the E key. Theree are other times that the keyboard will delay response. My v2 did not have ethis issue. Blackwidow v4 pro.
Getting the same on my current keyboard, doing the diver clear and synapse reinstall helped along with the keyboard properties to slow etc helped but still getting some double keys/keys not registering. Blackwidow V4 Pro fullsize.
Here it is on my keyboard without edits.

I’ve had the same problem on my Blackwidow v4 75% since buying it just over 3 months ago. I’ve noticed:
repeats happen often on vowels, as they are more frequently pressed than the average consonant
Removing the switch and cleaning the socket out with air seems to help for a little while
Sometimes instead of repeating, the key doesn’t register
The repeats are so frequent and pervasive, I cannot use the keyboard for anything; gaming, writing, coding, etc.
Have had to go back to my Huntsman Elite to even get anything done.
I’ve tried software reinstalls… still repeats.
I had a system crash since owning the keyboard, reinstall of windows 11… still repeats.
FWIW, this appears to be a fairly common hardware problem with these keyboards and I’d like to get a real answer from Razer on what they’re going to do about it.
I'm encountering a comparable problem with the replacement keyboard provided by Razer. It initiated with the letter 't' in my situation, and I've observed its propagation to other keys. From my perspective, it appears to be a software-related issue, given that I'm experiencing this problem with a replacement product .

I wasn’t wrong guys Today I’ve got the same new orange mechanical switches pack I found 8 switches, that had a doubling issue, replaced them And the issue return back after some hours :(
Been getttting the same issue as everyone else too. I’ve only hadd my V4 for about a month and now am also getting this ddouble typing/keys not registering issue. Also bought a new Razer mouse and dock aroundd tthe same time and they’re both having issuues as well. Triedd the Synapse rre-install as others have suggested here but the issue persists.
I have the same issue with v4 75%. I just cannot believe there’s so many people with the same issue and this is not fixed yet… :(

Sorry brothers, I was wrong about that I wasn’t wrong, At my situation as I told you before I bought a new one https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboards-accessories/Razer-Mechanical-Switches/RC21-02040300-R3M1 for my BlackWidow v4 Pro 75% At the first time I changed switches to a new one, some buggy keys continued doubling But guys, who knows that in a brand new one 36 switches will be also some buggy ones? :) So after some replacing the switches I removed all the buggy And hooray now I have clearly working keyboard, It was funny and sad at the same time So, maybe someone of you this information will also help!
Also I can share some funny experience about https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboards-accessories/Razer-PBT-Keycap-Coiled-Cable-Upgrade-Set/RC21-01490800-R3M1 As it’s described in the specs, it’s not compatible for our 75% keyboard, but nevertheless I bought it Whose keycaps not suit for our keyboard: rightAlt, rightShift, pgUp, pgDn, insert All the others suit, also I want to mark that PBT keycaps transmits light less than ABS, so these not suitable keycaps lights brighter
All the best everyone!
So I have a Razer BlackWidow V44 Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard and I goot the same issue on a couple of keys. I was loooking to replace the swittches (I have green) but I don’tt see any info if the Razer BlackWidow V4 switches are changeable? I’m new to pc and the only problems since July I experienced is keyboards loll. I changed my previous keyboard for razer (got good productts in the past) for the price I payed I’m a disapointted.
Saw some videos that sometimes residue get stuck in fabrication and can be clean with Isopropyl Alcoohol 99%. . I oordered some and will let you guys know if that helps.
P.S. My speeling is fine is the faultt of the keyboardd and wantt Razer suppoortt to see it! loll
I just had my Blackwidow v4 replaced because of this. The new one was working just fine for the last few weeks and they after they reimburse me for advanced replacement this keyboard started double typing. Im getting double spaces and double I’s randomly. Asking for a refund, im tired of spending $200+ on a keyboard just to have to pay for it again for a replacement and then wait weeks for a refund just to do it all over again.
Same issue on my 1 week old BlackWidow V4 75...this issue is 7 months old, and still no official reply?
In my case, it’s mostly E and sometimes W key.
Hello All
Same issue here.. brand new keyboard, tried to reach chat support but i could not.
Tried every step for solution, additionally, formatted pc and installed every new drivers and tried to reduce frequency. So far isaw “”uu”” and “”6” keys. and just now this: “”
Looks like there isn’t any soluution for this situation. I guess i have to take back keyboard to reseller.
I had this issue as well… and about 5 days of back and forth with Razer support making me jump through hoops, I finally told them to just RMA the damn thing, and they did…
The replacement arrived… I’ve had it probably 3 months…. and it is now starting to repeat keys as well.
I think there is some fundamental hardware issue with these keyboards. 2 fails in a row = something is wrong.
I have BW V4 Pro (regular) with yellow switches. I had same problems with “3”, backspace and “8” (numpad) keys. Interesting, but the best workaround to fix that stuff was switching from 8000mhz to 1000mhz polling rate.
Cleaning with compressed air, reinstalling synapse and drivers using Razer Driver Cleaner, switching from USB 3.0 to 2.0 ports power tapping or switching Win11 settings didn’t work to me (but could help in complex, who knows).
Ya know this is the first logical thing that makes sense as a possible fix! I’ll double check my polling rate when I get off work, but this could easily explain a key repeating issue if the polling is “too fast”. I’ll let ya know what happens!
