I fixed the drift on my TE-edition!

So i had the same problems as everyone else with my controller from start, and updating it just made it worse.
few days ago i got so mad after getting killed in blackout because of the drift that i simply pushed down the right stick and blew my life into the controller, and i also pulled and pushed the sticks up and down in the socket.
Havent had any drift since then, my guess is that there is somekind of dust inside from production, making the sensors inside the controller go wild?

This worked for me, and i hope that is working for at least some of you.

1. push down the sticks and blow hard into the sockets
2. pull and push the sticks in/out of the sockets ( i was mad so i did it really hard, be careful 😃 )

Hope it helps!

Edit: i did not have the beta firmware installed

My God, you’re absolutely right! I fixed the drift on my Ultimate by blowing compressed air around the base of the stick, while pushing, pulling and swiveling it around. It makes sense it might be dust, as my drift issue appeared after about a month of use, so it seemed strange for it to be a software issue. Thanks for the tip!
Upgraded to 1.02 today, quick test on black ops and no noticeable lag on BT anymore. No stick drift to report on either stick and hair triggers work as intended.

Will test via cable tonight.
one more thing, if this solves your stick drift please make a note in this post. I think it will help Razor to indentify the root issue and help get the solution out faster.
By putting the controller into bootloaded mode we can put the v1.01 again into the controller, i connected it to the pc, pressed the up arrow on the D pad along with X for 10-20 seconds and it went completely blank, responded to nothing, then i loaded the v1.01 installer and now it has the previous version again. So we can use the v1.03 and see for ourselves what it fixes and what it doesnt.
I think it helped overall, didnt have that super crazy stick drift i had last time, i had some small drifts here and there. Still tho the drift appears and there are times where the right stick isnt responding for a bit, plus when u change profiles u feel instantly some small stick drift many times. So the controller definately needs a fix. i dont think it had dust inside, maybe from the design of it somehow dust goes inside when we play it? No idea. Somehow it seems this helped tho it didnt fix it but this "fix" can actually be from the pressure on the sticks and not from blowing air inside it.
I've got a link for 1.03 but am running 1.02 and someone on reddit said you cannot upgrade from 1.02 to 1.03 only from 1.0.0 and 1.01.

There is a way of things happening here that i dont understand and i dislike very much, why cant one mod start in the support subforum a thread that announces that the version 1.03 is released and people can ask for the new firmware there? And shouldnt there also be a thread of people who talk about their experience with the controller's new firmware? And the people who created it and tried out the new firmware, didnt they use the same controllers who also had the beta? And lets say they didnt, couldnt they predict that the 1.02 beta users may want to get the 1.03 update? It takes so long for an update to be released and that update is for everyone who bought the controller and now 50 people will have to wait till they find a solution about this? I dont want to imagine how long that will take and with the way things are going i dont want to speculate because it could easily never be addressed. Shouldnt there be a way to downgrade at least to the 1.01 so we can put the 1.03? This doesnt remind me an organised official forum but a village market where everything is based on rumour and what someone heard. Both the 1.02 beta and the 1.03 werent announced and SOMEONE found out by talking to the support about them and spread the word, which year are we living in? 1850? I paid 240 euros for this controller and thats what everyone else paid pretty much, shouldnt we at least get some update on the situation? Im coming here everyday to check whats happening only to learn by accident there's a new firmware? And we werent included in it? Did we buy the controller with monopoly money or something? Most of us 1.02 beta users are the active ones in this community right now and not only werent we informed but we were left out? After waiting since September for a solution to our controller? Does this sound professional in any way?

I fully agree, the way this situation is being handled by Razer is downright offensive to those of us loyal enough to willingly test the 1.02 beta rather than ask for a refund, which we are all entitled to.

For me thats it, im gonna send it back to get a replacement, i will upgrade the new controller to the 1.03 and if the problems still exist then i will ask for a refund, if i cant get it from the store then i will switch it with the new astro C40 when its released and i will pay the difference. I've had enough of this amateur situation.

Worked for me as well wit UE. You should get a reward from Razer for this mate.
As mentioned by others, I don't believe stick drifting has anything to do with the firmware version, but rather a hardware issue. Many, myself included, have had luck blowing into the base of the stick while rotating and pushing it, either with your mouth, or as I did with compressed air. It worked for me.
Great update guide and fixing drift issue guide Nicejob guys. I have also negative experience with ultimate edition.
First had big stick drift (after update to 1.02 controller was unplayable).
Second one had small drift and right analog had some lag when I try to look right, looking left was ok. Update not solved issue.
Third one work decent . Incidentally lag on sticks and small drifting is well playable on basic firmware 1.01
I updated the firmware to 1.3 and at this point razer is issue free but I had no time to test...
I will also keep you up to date
Regards Filip

Ps sorry I know my English is terrible....

and after few days of testing unfortunately i have to say that is again worse ... Controller is playable but on basic firmware i have almost not lag small drifting and now it lag persist (sometimes is noticeable )
pity

7nightwing7 RMA'd the controller (sent it back to razer with the warranty to get replaced with a new one) and he got a new one with a v1.04 firmware that fixed everything and his controller is working perfectly now. So we are asking for that firmware but no one is answering, im also gonna RMA mine with razer too so i can get a new batch of controllers that have the v1.04 and also people said that it was out of stock for some time and people suggest they waited to replenish the stock till they introduced the new batch. So at least there's hope in the horizon, in case we EVER get the firmware v1.04 but i say just RMA it.

Can confirm, day 3 still going strong. Tested on Anthem vip demo. Love this controller.

Can u test also on battlefield or call of duty Bo4 (if you have a copy) ?
How long took the RMA process

Already tested on battlefield 5. No probs. Rma took me a week. Pretty fast.

Can I ask where are u from ?
Can someone send me the 1.02 software?
So I've had two raiju ultimate controllers (now on my second one) and I've had contact with the support on my first controller and with this second one I started off having almost no trouble and having it gradually getting worse but when I read this I thought I'd give it a shot and it kinda worked I think? The drift issue is not as bad anymore but now I'm considering downloading the newest patch just to make it work as optimal as possible because I feel the controller sometimes having a bit of input lag or someting... Thoughts?
Thanks! Blowing air actually did help temporarily. Every time the drift appeard it went away by blowing air into the sticks
wow.. I did this on my ultimate and it worked!
i'm running the beta 1.02

I spoke to the support team yesterday, and they told me the same. The version 1.03 installer can't override 1.02 at this time, so anybody who has helped Razer by beta testing their faulty hardware are being left high and dry.
stavrosmangaros
I dont get it, 1.02 u mean the beta, right? There shouldnt be a 1.03 since the 1.02 is still in beta, there should be the official 1.02 and if they made it official, if they launched it then shouldnt there be a post here by the mods?

There is a 1.03 version available if you ask the support staff, but only if you are running 1.01 or earlier.

Lol, they told me to RMA the controller xD. Even when i told them i was beta testing. They seriously need to work on their internal communication skills.

Pretty much...

Good work! Let us know how it performs as I’ll likely try this tomorrow.

Well right now i dont have the links for the v1.03, whats loaded inside is the v1.01, if i happen to somehow get the links for it then be sure i will share my experience with it
