Here what we came to, by speaking with support team:

This is promising. If they add deadzone customization to the controller app - that supersedes a game's deadzone setting, I'd be extremely happy. I'm content with them just giving the deadzone setting back a game's setting. I'm cautiously optimistic. I just bought a v2 Chroma, and I'm hoping they fix this before my return window runs out...

Honestly bro I would return it and get a wolverine ultimate while you can that way atleast you can play without the problem and when and if the issue gets resolved you can send the wolverine back to razer and they will replace it with a chroma because the wolverine is legacy. Just saying it’ll save you that 50 dollars on a inoperative controller and still end up getting it in the long run once it’s fixed and for cheaper

I already have a wolverine haha; I was trying to upgrade to the chroma; but you might be right. I sent a ticket about it, even though I know full well the issue and they basically were like "oh you have a sticky stick? did it come that way?" Acting like it was a hardware issue, rather than a firmware/software issue.

Is this a problem for all gamepads, or are there instances without dead zones?

I'm not sure, when I first started toying with in-game deadzone settings a year or two ago; I already had a Wolverine Ultimate, so I'm not sure if the Elite or other controllers have an intrinsic DZ like the v2 Chroma does. I just know, I can go into training mode on PUBG ; put the DZ to 0 on my Wolverine Ultimate, and my cursor will start drifting on it's own. Do the same on the v2 Chroma and it's completely still. Because I've been playing with low to zero DZ for so long - using the v2 Chroma made my aim less smooth and chunky. Like it feels sticky.

Another user posted on the YouTube comment some insightful information:
"Got an update from Razer. They stated the deadzone issue is expected for the controller. Didn't refer to it as an issue or a bug. Just that it's expected. Acknowledge that some users want more settings added to the app to customize it. Said they are working on a update to the Razer App but don't have an ETA when the update will be."
Surprised this is marketed as a competitive controller.. having non precise joysticks is very disadvantageous especially in games when precision matters.

So true. I don't know how anyone makes small precision movements with so much Deadzone. But man, if they add DZ to the app and it overrides the games' settings - I'll be so happy. Some games (like Overwatch) don't have a slider for deadzone, and it makes the game unplayable for me.
I'm hearing this was fixed! I'm at work right now so I don't have confirmation though, can someone else confirm?

Hey y'all! Update to the Razer Controller app - they've added Deadzone adjustment to the app!

Are you trolling bro I don’t see it

The Razer Controller app updated for me when I turned my box on (if you have autoupdate off, you may need to go my games and apps > manage > updates); then when I went in the app, I had to press Y for info and it alerts of a firmware update. Updated the firmware and now I have an option in my profile edit for Deadzone. I'm using a Series X and Wolverine v2 Chroma

Yup I see it bro we are finally out the mud
I gotta say this controller had me on the ropes but with this customizable deadzone im using the lowest setting with no deadzone in game and it’s feeling better than any other competitive controller it has slight drift but not enough to notice and if it ever gets worse even the second deadzone setting is pretty good thinking about getting razer care for future controllers as I still don’t see it being very durable as far as stick drift but it’s still the best

Theres still no update for the Wolverine v2 ..
For the moment its just a really expensive paperweight

Check again there is

No im still on firmware 1.0.6.0
And Software 1.7.38.70
Theres was no update for me .. tried reinstalling but nothing has changed
So i got the latest firmware for V2 Chroma - 1.1.1.0

The default deadzone setting is 4/4.

Do I leave it like that or set it to 1?

Still waiting :/

ayyy its fixed just went from dying for hours straight to 4 wins in one hour
So in-game deadzone settings still will have no effect or will they alter in addition to the deadzone settings set in the Razer app?
I am seeing couple of you guys saying its fixed for them I am still facing the same issue alas. I was super excited for this purchase but here I am looking for solutions online instead of smashing guys in games. Well I have tried gamepad test and watched plenty of youtube fixes nothing seems to work for I hope to find an appropriate solution soon!
Can confirm what soloIVORYDarkOrchid252 said. Still on 1.0.6.0, tried both on my Xbox and PC, can't get the app to show an "update firmware" button. Vanilla Wolverine V2, but that shouldn't mean anything as the only difference between the two is that the Chroma has RGB, right?

My Black V2 latest firmware update reads as 1.0.6.0.

However my White V2 reads as 1.0.9.0.

And my V2 Chroma reads as 1.1.1.0

No issues with any of them so far.

So, they released the new firmware for the V2 White, but not the V2 basic? This is crazy. Does your V2 White allow you to change the deadzone in the razer app?
Any news about the firmware update for Black V2 ?
Thaaatt's crraazzyyyyy. lolSo i guess my request for a replacement product wont even matter...im tryng to playcod and im like stutter stepping. so fuckinng annoying
So... i bought this controller yesterday, i played for a few minutes and realized that the deadzone is just AWFUL in comparision with my old PS4 controller.

Do you think there is a chance or i must request a refund? I've also sent my problem to support. But i'm getting hopeless by this point.
Just return it. Don’t even bother waiting, I’ve tried my best to tell them about this problem and they don’t even bother trying.

Right Bumper just failed on my Wolverine Ultimate. First three Ultimates came with stick drift out-of-the-box. Had a Wolverine TE whose A button broke after 5 months. This Ultimate only lasted 4 months before the RB started malfunctioning.

Not even mentioning the problem I had with the intrinsic deadzone on the V2 "Basic". Truth be told, by this point the fault is wholly on me, I knew I was dealing with garbage products from a garbage company but I kept buying Razer controllers because they're the only ones who have the extra Top Shoulder buttons.

Never buying Razer again. Waste of time and money. No button is worth the hassle. Live and learn.

I just had my right bumper break on my Ultimate after two years, trying to decided if I want another or just get a XBox controller. I will miss the back buttons on the Razer's though
