Synapse: does setting CPU/GPU power mode to "low" actually do anything?

I am trying to keep my blade 15 (2020) cool since i worry about the battery condition (don't need high FPS when playing games like GTAV, where my computer gets really hot).

I play with a stand which helps, and also tried to change synapse performance power modes to "low", but it doesn't seem to change much in terms of temperatures. What do those modes do?

(I also changed the windows power plans to limit the CPU power to 97%, but doesn't do much either.)

I got this,..

The Synapse performance power modes are designed to adjust the power consumption and performance of your Razer Blade 15 laptop. The "low" mode is optimized for longer battery life and lower heat output, while sacrificing some of the performance. In contrast, the "high" mode is optimized for maximum performance but may result in higher heat output and shorter battery life.

Using a stand to improve airflow is a great way to help keep your laptop cool, but you might also consider adjusting some of the in-game graphics settings to reduce the workload on your laptop's CPU and GPU. This can help lower the temperatures and extend your battery life.

Additionally, you can try using software that allows you to monitor the temperature of your laptop's components. This can help you identify which components are generating the most heat and allow you to adjust your usage accordingly.

Overall, it's important to balance performance and heat management to ensure that your Razer Blade 15 laptop stays cool and functions optimally over time.
