Hello everyone, I've been experiencing a 'little' problem with my Razer Blade. This particular issue(s) has happened twice this week alone and I have absolutely no idea what is causing this issue.

When this issue first happened back in early June, I had just installed VMWare and a 'patch' that required changing my registry. The 'problem' occurred almost immediately, so as any sane person I deleted everything pertaining to VMWare and rolled back my computer to a few days prior just to be safe.

The issue(s) subsided and did not come back until just recently (within the last week) and I'm wondering why, how, and what can I do. I first notice the issue when I'll be randomly browsing the web and the laptop suddenly loses connection to WiFi. I know my WiFi is still actually working as I check it on my phone right next to me, but as I got into the WiFi setting on my laptop to disconnect & reconnect, I can't click on anything as there's no response. I can still move my mouse and everything visually appears correct, but no matter what I click on bears no response. I've even went as far as to restarting the computer from the Start Menu (as that gives the false sense of my computer responding) where it will then begin the process, but gets stuck on the 'Blue Restarting Screen' and never completes the process--again requiring a hard reboot.

I've tried logging in and logging back out, where the screen stays black and will NOT wake back up.
I've tried closing the screen and opening back up, the screen stays black and will NOT wake back up.

Every time this has occurred, I'm literally just browsing the Web/reading, thus no taxing workload of any kind is being done, overheating of any kind, and long after any lengthy gaming session.

I'm worried that this issue will become increasingly prevalent and far more of a burden than just an annoyance is it currently is.

Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

I would start with a complete fresh reinstall of Windows JUST to rule out some weird transient driver conflict [you MAY be able to get away with just uninstalling your GPU and WIFI drivers, but like the lady said "Take off, and nuke the site from orbit. . it's the only way to be sure"

If it happens again with a fresh install then I would strongly suggest hardware issue. You may also want to send a message to razer support to document the issue in case it ends up having to be sent back for RMA/repair.

Out of curiosity: why not use Hyper-V ?

Hmm, how exactly would I go about doing a 'fresh' install? Is there an option from Windows 10 itself that basically brings everything back to when I first powered on my laptop?

    Thank you.

I wanted to give it some more time and see if the problem would occur again before creating a support ticket and well literally just moments ago the exact same thing occurred again.

Merely browsing the internet, WiFi randomly disconnects, go to try and reconnect to WiFi, computer 'hangs' requiring hard reboot.

I will be creating a support ticket now & forwarding you the necessary information.

Hello everyone, I just wanted to check in and give an update. After reaching out to Razer Customer Support, I was instructed to upgrade my drivers. I wanted to give it some time to ensure that all the 'kinks' were corrected.

Since having done so (a little over a month ago), I have not experienced any of the aforementioned issues whatsoever. I'm not sure what happened or how some drivers of mine became corrupted, but I'm pleased to say that everything with my Razer Blade 2016 is working phenomenally.

Here's the driver update page provided by Razer just in case anyone else runs into this problem.
