2019 RAZER BLACKWIDOW ELITE "W" Key Issue

Hello,

I purchased my Blackwidow Elite Chroma back in 2019. It worked great for most of the time however in the last 6ish months my "W" key has stopped working reliably.

Sometimes it will take 2-5 presses before it actually responds. In games, specifically shooters with "W" being one of your primary movement keys this can obviously get quite debilitating.

Has anyone come across anything like this or possibly have any common fixes that might help? I did try doing the Razer Keyboard Reset thing where you have to unplug it and hold down a couple keys while plugging it back in, and that did not help. I also tried reinstalling all Razer software to see if it was a software problem and again, did not help.

Any suggestions or anything would be greatly appreciated as I do love this keyboard and would rather not have to purchase a different one.

Sorry to hear about what happened to your W key. However, there's a possible hardware issue since you've tried the manual request, and the behavior persists. You can try connecting the keyboard to another USB port or computer without an installed Razer Synapse and see if the issue continues. Otherwise, reset the keyboard while plugged into a PC with Razer Synapse 3.0. Go to setting by clicking the gear icon at the top-right of the application and hit reset from the side list.
