2020 razor blade 15 base ssd options.

Hello,

I bought a RZ09-0328 from Best Buy and it came with a 512ssd and rtx2060 which I believe is the base model.

Now what options do I have for adding more ssd space to the computer, do I have a free slot to add a new ssd drive or do I need to upgrade the one I am currently using?

Can anyone recommend a good replacement or new SSD that will work in this system?

Thank you,
Justin

It comes with free m2 nvme slot beside your main 512gb nvme, theoretically you can do fast raid 0 setting by adding another 512gb nvme which’s new on Blade 15 lines but it’s another story for enthusiast, for most poeple probably they’ll prefer more storage. Personally I’d recommend Samsung 970 evo like 1tb (nvme), you can also use non nvme normal sata m2 for lower price like from intel though maybe you won’t notice the speed difference on daily use but I don’t have experience with them and 970 evo serves me great since Blade 14 age.
Thanks for the feedback, something like this perhaps?

Also the screwdriver I need is called a HEX correct?

I use exactly same nvme, great one. If you’re okay with the price then it’s nice ssd, some are using 1tb for less expensive.
Screw driver for it is normal one, I mean for little screw, not hex I believe. For details Blade 15 base 2020, you can check link below from Notebookcheck there’re photos from internal parts and screw drivers you need for opening it.
