7.1 surround sound activation code "License code is invalid"

I bought a pair of new razer kraken pink quartz through amazon and got it delivered yesterday. Today I tried using the activation code that came in the box to claim my 7.1 surround sound license but I got an error saying "License code is invalid". The silver film covering the validation code was not scratched so no one used it before and the product was brand new from amazon. I would appreciate any help.
