Sometimes, and for unknown reasons, the 7.1 Surround sound will stop responding to volume adjustments. I can't mute or change the volume from the keyboard or the slider.
The only ways to adjust are:
-to put the output back to the RealTek(R) Audio, adjust the volume, then reselect 7.1 Surround Sound
-to uninstall/re-install the program
There are no sound glitches or anything; only the controls are affected. My computer was acting up so I basically did a factory reset, then began using IObit Uninstaller to make sure the things I uninstalled were completely gone.
Residual files and stuff were a part of the back up my computer made before the reset, so IObit is to help me with that. I also used the paid one-time cleaning/repair from Restoro to fix registry issues, which was the original issue with my PC)
I really do like the sound quality this program offers, but adjusting volume with the work around method it inconvenient, especially if I have multiple things going at once, or if I'm playing a game or something.
Advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
