A humble users feedback on the 2019 Stealth

Thought I would write my two cents on the Razer Blade Stealth 2019 as I received mine in the mail today, and in summary, im blown away...once you do a little tinkering to get it running perfectly, its amazing!

A little background, I am moving away from a top end 2013 MacBook Pro and a Ryzen 1700/RX2070 Desktop to this one machine in my life, with plans to later sort out a V2 Core for desktop work. The MacBook Pro was too big to travel with, the desktop even more so...and this Stealth seemed the perfect jack of all trades.

Read every review and watched every video out there, so was aware of potential QC purposes, but took the plunge anyhow, and I am super happy that I did.

I bought the mid-range MX150 model, with plans to upgrade the SSD to 1TB. Opening the box and powering it up, I noticed the speaker crackle issue. No charger issue, that works just fine. One reviewer complained the body is too sharp on the edge, to me its just fine....just dont grip it too tight.

They keyboard is one of the nicest I have ever typed on, even more so than a MBP. If you type properly and use the RH shift key, its fast, good feedback on the keys and nice audible sound per stroke.

I had a read through The Razer Blade Stealth Bible (/the-2019-blade-stealth-bible.47132/) - followed the power saving setup and it moved from 3 hours to 8 hours expected use on the battery when unplugged...so that works well.

Also followed the updates on that link for the speaker crackle, updated bios and razer software, didn't seem to do a lot. Found a great solution here (https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/b70u8z/razer_blade_stealth_2019_audio_crackling_noise_fix/) - seems you simply change the realtek driver to the standard HD driver and restart...book, crackle gone. Simply a software fix and no RMA needed.

Screen is beautiful, bright enough and great for image work. At 13" no 4K is really needed in my opinion.

Very impressed, great laptop...if you are thinking of buying, do your research, look at the known issues, be prepared to do some setup and tinkering but a lot of the issues can be fixed in software it seems.

Hope you enjoy it, it is an amazing product if it doesn't go wrong. One piece of advise I have is to stress test the laptop for the first 1 or 2 weeks so that you know it is working perfectly and if not send it back for an RMA using your free warranty; if it all is fine then you should happily be able to use it for years (until a windows update breaks it:wink_:).

Enjoy your product @EMERALDRustyReddaily264 and well done on the purchase:smile_:

Glad to hear the power settings in "the bible" were helpful. I'll look into the speaker crackle solution you found and possibly add that as well. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Static issue seems to just be the RealTek drivers, remove those and replace them and it's all good to go .

But my crackle dissapeared when I muted the speakers. Not sure of this is the same for everyone.
