A lot of issues! Fan/Chroma/Performance | RB 15 Base 2018

Hey folks, 2 months ago I recived my Razer Blade 15 Base Model 2018, since then I´ve faced a whole lot of issues....but let´s start with the specs as an overview:

Model No.: RZ09-0270
Processor: Intel Core i7 8750H
Graphics adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q - 6144 MB, Core: 1265 MHz
Memory: 32GB , DDR4-2400 (1200 MHz), 14-14-14-35, Dual-Channel, Kingston ❤️
Mainboard: Intel HM370
Storage: Samsung SSD 960 Pro, 512 GB (WIN 10 x64) , Secondary: Samsung SSD 860 Pro, 512 GB (Linux Mint 19.2 Tessa)

(I modified the Memory and both storages, installed Windows 10 Professional x64 to work with CAD and Linux Mint for privat use!)


First of all I wanna thank all of the folks who work really hard in this forum, to help people with their knowledge! You guys are the real support!! Without you guys, I would have sent my Blade immediately back to Razer...you guys wonder why? I´ll tell you:


1. The Fan: (on the right, below power button)
We all heard about the noise issues, some of us are facing them...one thing is clear: Razor doesn't care! Well ok, to be fair, they do a great job in replacing thousands of broken fans, but they don´t go to the ground of the problem!
In my opinion it's a total no go, to sell a Laptop, which has well known issues with his fans over years..but well what ever, that´s not the point...the point is, my fan is broken and I have to look after it!
So I contacted the Support for help. I sended them all the informations about my Blade, attached a video as well and got a shipping label...here comes the problem: On my question: "will they replace the product (pls not!)? and what will happen to my modified hardware regarding this case? Shall I undo the modifikation?"....I recived no answer!! So I let it be, before they behave like apple and swap my device...what would be awful! Not onely for nature, for me as well...obviously!

2. Chroma:

If I'm honest, I don't wanna talk about this at all...but then nothing will change, so let's talk about Chroma:
No matter what I did, Chrome doesn't worked at all. I tried Chroma 2 and 3, with updates and without them. I almost reinstalled it 15 times and tried to get it work, with no success.
The Problem is, I cannot create effects, cannot save them, cannot set them, cannot select them! Well first it worked..a bit..cause I were able to create an effect and save it as well, but it only worked (my created profile) when Synaps was running...it doesn’t worked at BIOS neither at WIN login! And then suddenly the keyboard went black! To my luck I had this one profile, which I were able to set somehow on basic again. So now I have a flower power keyboard, which changes it´s light all the time. Not the biggest problem, but really annoying, regarding that this working machine costs around 2000$ and you're not able to write a script or something like that, to set a permanent color, outside Synaps/Chroma?...whatever!

So this buggy software is my second problem.

I really like my Razer Blade so far, the performance is good, the hardware is good (most of it) and the compatibility with Linux makes it a really interesting all round machine for everyday use.

The only thing what gives me a headache, is the broken fan. Because of this, I'm not able to incrase the performance, which is lower then on my old bare bone. And if you want to work with CAD, you need performance!

So I really hope you guys can help me with my issues, or at least give me a tip how to solve this on my own.

If the broken part isn’t s Fans there’s no need to replace whole system, I did RMA on Blade 14 2017 and all what I had still there after coming back to me, though I send them all original parts like ssd since I always keep it. I wrote letter as well and put inside the Blade to make sure the repair man doesn’t reset the windows only swap parts that I want them to change. However if you can get the right parts and install your self I think it’ll be better for not having loose time sending them to Razer, I’ve second system stealth with powerful Razer core setting so at that time I was good sending Blade 14 to Razer.
