It really is not an easy question.

Every users/gamers are different and need certain things from a mouse to give them excellent gaming performance.
Some of the factors the people go through are~~

  • Size
  • Weight
  • Grip
  • Key press feeling
  • Ergonomic
  • Speed
  • Wired / Wireless

Because if you ask a pro Tennis player, "What do they recommend a best racket?", they are not going to say one type. Every court they play on, every style of play, the clothing they wear, it contributes to the thought they put into choosing a racket.

I have seen RAZER enthusiasts who have collected all RAZER mouse from the beginning of RAZER time; and every mouse have that different characteristics that deliver the best game play. When some may say Basilisk is the best, some will say the Viper is the best and so on. Some will say, forget the new, stick to legacy devices~~~

Check out the following thread to give you some understanding of current RAZER mouse that are sold in the RAZER stores and in razer.com.

I'm getting use to the Basilisk ULT;
thanks to its ergonomic design, I can play for hours without worrying too much about facing a wrist injury.
It is light in weight and has a good balance of speed and control, good for FPS and RTS games.
Being wireless, don't need to worry about yanking the mouse due to wire length being too short

It depends on the budget, your hand size etc. :P

The most universal, and safe mouse is DeathAdder (or the Mini version for smaller hands).
Basilisk family will be the most comforable.
Viper family is great for FPS games (Viper Ultimate is my daily driver), very light.
And also Naga family for MMO/RPG games, if you need additional keys.
There was a post about this I think..forgot where

If you want an overview of each mouse offered, check out this featured thread! It was helpful for me making my decision recently.

- Are you leaning towards wired or wireless? (If you go wired there's a mouse bungee that Razer offers that's pretty sweet to add in to your gaming setup.)

- What types of games do you play? There are different niches for different families of mice.

- What is your budget? There are a variety of options for different budgets.

As long as you know the answer to these questions, you'll be well on your way to selecting an optimal Razer mouse!
