Today I got my new Razer Blade Stealth i7-8550u, with a 65W charger. The older model (i7-7500u) had a 45w charger, on which only the output DC 20V at 2.25A is stated.

The new 65W charger has multiple DC output ratings: 5V, 9V and 15V at 3A and 20V at 3.25A (see image, bottom left)

Does this mean that I can charge my phone with USB C (LG G6) using this charger? I am a bit hesitant to just try, don't wanna fry my phone ;)

I personally use the charger to charge my Google Pixel. Same laptop, same charger. My Pixel tells me, "Charging Rapidly" and takes about the same time to charge as the stock quick charger.

That's just me though, so don't blame me if you blow up your phone!

Alright, thx for the info. Will wait for another positive response before trying myself.

Did some more digging, it appears that my phone supports the USB PD (Power Delivery) standard (see image below). This means that there is a default startup profile at 5V, after which voltage and current will be negotiated by charger and device [source].

If anyone can confirm that the Razer charger is compliant with USB PD, all my questions are answered.
