Access Denied when replying.

Hey guys,

I seem to be running into a frequent error when trying to post replies to topics. Sometimes it'll work just fine, other times I'll get a white page that says Access denied and other times I'll get an Access Denied overlay on the screen that tells me I don't have permissions to post. But I'll go to another thread and it'll let me post, they are on active threads. nothing locked or necro.. Do any of you have this issue?

Does anybody have this issue other than me? I've replied to threads with lengthy replies and when I go to submit them I get this error. It seems to happen quite often and I don't know how to fix it. Many times I am unable to edit my posts as well. I'll get the error when trying to submit it. Sometimes I'll get the error while I'm replying. It seems when the system is auto saving, it'll spit the error out at me as well.

It's still happening quite frequently. I tried to PM mods as well and received the same error hahah! Hopefully this reply works.

Thank you for the response, sadly it's still happening for some reason. I tried to post in the recent post of the week in the gaming section and the issue popped up again.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately I am unable to send PMs to the mods too. I get the error when composing the message and it goes to autosave.

Thanks for the response once again. I created another account as instructed to see if the issue continues. If this new account works, would my posts and silver, etc. be able to be ported to this new account?

Thanks for keeping me updated. Unfortunately, the achievements, awards, gold, and silver are account specific, which can't be transferred to another account. By the way, creating another account is part of the issue replication. Feel free to update this thread.

I ran into the same issue on the new account as well. It seems hit or miss, sometimes I can reply to several threads and then suddenly I cannot any longer. I tired to compose a message with the new account above and it gave the same errors. I've tried flushing all of my web caches and cookies and even tried different networks and still have the same issue. haha! Since it happened on the other account as well I guess I'll keep this one active. Thank you for updating me on this, it's so weird!

Yes, same thing here: I had experienced problems posting and receiving the "Access Denied" message on-screen. Sometime I'd receive the message after clicking on the Submit button, or, on the Post Reply button. And sometimes the Access Denied message would show up as I was typing. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.

I had put up a post about it here: /posting-error.56545/

And then I put up another post, and, at the time, the work-a-round seemed to be to post bits and pieces of my post at a time until I got all of it out; I posted that one here: /data-size-on-drive.56588/

I performed a search, and, evidently, it happens a lot here on these forums. Surely the devs & moderators must be aware of it by now :big_grin_:
