When I close the lid of my laptop it sometimes becomes incredibly stiff and creaks very loudly. Other times less so, although usually it does it at least a little bit.

I am outside of the warranty and am wondering if anyone is familiar with any remedies? It truly feels like I'm breaking my laptop just by using it now.
