Any issues with 32GB RAM 2666Mhz upgrade?

Hi all,

Am about to pick up a Blade Pro 17 2020 and have reading posts on this forum that there are a lot of issues with RAM upgrades, specifically with 64GB RAM. From these posts I've surmised that the issue is with 3200Mhz, 2933Mhz and/or running in XMP profile. So I just wanted to check if there are any issues with RAM stability when upgrading with 32GB RAM - 2 16GB sticks running at a lower frequency of 2666Mhz?

Would appreciate any thoughts & especially those that have had no issues with this. TIA

Does your BIOS show anything to do with XMP?
Yes, The HyperX I got defaults 2933, an extra menu shows on the BIOS for XMP once installed.

Great - just to clarify, the HyperX is rated at 3200Mhz but once installed it default to 2933Mhz, is that what you mean? Also, this is 2 16GB HyperX sticks?

Thanks

Nope, it is rated 2933, did not attempt to get the 3200 Mhz as this has better latency (CL17 vs CL20) and same Speed as rated for the 10th Gen.

Yes, these are 2 x 16 GB Hyper X sticks

Thanks for the info.
It won't help you probably, but you want it, so get it. On a personal note, it won't fill any hole you're trying to fill. Buying the RAM won't make you a streamer or make you happy. A good rule of thumb is if you have to ask do you need 32GB, then you don't.
