Any opinions on Razer mice? More specifically the Deathadder CHROMA.

I'm looking for a high quality but a simple gaming mouse with a low extra button count (2 extra buttons specifically). I've been eyeing on the Deathadder for a while now and it seems like a good pick for me, as it is high quality, light and simple (or so the reviewers have said). Even one of my favorite youtubers stated in one his videos that it's his favorite mouse. But I've heard critique from people on forums on Razer products, that they're not that durable, and now I'm sort of skeptical about buying the Deathadder https://showbox.tools/.

Are Razer mice truly bad quality products? Should I just go for the Deathadder or something else?

Do not take words from online critiques too seriously. Some take things too personally just because something went bad.

Not every products are 100% perfect; R Λ Z Ξ R product developers put in all their efforts to beat their competition and attempt to deliver the best gaming peripheral.
Who knows what next snake name they will come up with.

Try out the R Λ Z Ξ R product yourself and I'm sure you will see a great use of it.

But before you do, make sure you have the followings~~~

  • Working Windows 10
  • Update with latest updates
  • No computer virus
  • Computer with working USB ports
  • Synapse 3.0 installed

DeathAdder is the most universal choice, because of it's shape and good build quality.
I'd not say that Razer mouses are bad quality. Yes, it happens that (mostly) mouse switches fail (but not only on Razer mouses). On the other side it's fairly cheap to repair.

If you're concerned about mouse switches - try DeathAdder V2 / V2 mini - they have optical switches, so they shouldn't have known, double click issue as on 'mechanical' switches.

If you want to buy DA Chroma - watch out for counterfeits, because there A LOT of them, also it's an older model, no longer supported in the newest Synapse 3.

You can also check Viper Mini mouse (IMO one of the best especially for FPS games), but it's small - or the bigger Viper / Viper 8kHz version.

Deathadder is definitely a great option but you have to get used to it at first, but now my favorite mouse is
Razer Viper Ultimate with Charging Dock - Cyberpunk 2077 Edition

This module is the best I've ever seen!!
