    Hi TheCuriousGamer.

It's hard to give you a recommendation without anything to go on.

What is your budget, if any?
What type of games do you play?
What do you usually do on your computer?
    Do you type/write a lot?
Do you plan to travel with your keyboard?
Do you stream/record video? How about conference calls or audio/video chat?
Who do you live with? Do you usually use your computer during the later hours?
Any personal preferences when it comes to RGB LEDs and mechanical switch types?

Get back to me and I'll try my best to give you a recommendation.

If you're looking for performance but don't have much space or travel a lot id say the blackwidow TE would be a good choice plus it comes in chroma, but it is all about budget and personal preference when it come to peripherals.

Well I mainly play games like Borderlands, Fallout New Vegas,Payday 2 and chivalry.
I think the budget would be around 300 dollars (Im close calling this as I live in Iceland).
I type a lot as I use my computer for essays and the ocational script. It would be convenient to be able to travel with it but it is not crucial.
I like my keyboards mechanical and rgb ligting doesn't hurt.
    I live with my family.
    Hope this helps.

  5. I would recommend something with an Orange switch if you're going to buy Razer.
With that in mind, here are some keyboards to consider:
    - Blackwidow Chroma Stealth
    - Blackwidow Chroma Stealth TE (Makes traveling easy)
    - Blackwidow X Chroma Stealth
    - Blackwidow X Chroma Stealth TE (Makes traveling easy)
    - Overwatch/Call of Duty BO3 Blackwidow (If you play these games, if you like the coloring, go for it too) Both are Chroma
    Non RGB:
    - Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth
    - Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth TE
    - Blackwidow X Ultimate Stealth

I don't own a Razer Blackwidow with a Razer switch (mine is the 2013 version that had cherry mx blues), but I can answer about sizing, build quality, how long it lasts (mine still works), etc.

    For mechanical keyboard, select Blackwidow.
    For membrane keyboard, select Deathstalker.

There are many version for both keyboard and you may select either one depend on your budget.

The Razer BlackWidow line is rather extensive, but you can check out all the features of each keyboard at a glance here. My personal favourite is the BlackWidow X Chroma - hope this helps!

If you don't mind spending some money get the BW but if you prefer chiclet keys get the DS

I've been using the Deathstalker essential for around a year and a half and it's worked like a dream, but that's because I transitioned from my laptop so it mainly depends what form-factor you're coming from.

Hi again TheCuriousGamer. Thanks for the reply.

From what you've told me, it doesn't sound like you do any streaming or audio/video conferencing, so noise probably won't be an issue. Combined with the fact that you do a lot of typing, Green switches would be the proper choice here.

Since budget doesn't seem to be an issue and RGB is desired, I've narrowed it down to the following 3:
    • BlackWidow Chroma
    • BlackWidow Tournament Edition Chroma
    • BlackWidow X Chroma
The following are the advantages of each one. You may have to do a little more research and make a decision about which is best for you.

BW Chroma: The original BlackWidow Chroma. One of the first RGB keyboards. Has 5 macro keys on the left side. Lighting is optimized. Has USB and Audio pass-through ports.

BW TE Chroma: Has detachable USB cord for traveling convenience. Lighting is optimized. More ergonomic form factor which also saves desk space. Comes with a premium carrying case. Costs less than

BW X Chroma: Exposed metal design offers an alternative look. Has built in cable management. Easier maintenance.

My personal favorite is the BW TE Chroma Stealth, but honestly it really depends on your personal preferences.

    I hope that helps!
