If you're taking about Google's AR core then unfortunately the device does not support it.

If you're talking about normal AR in such things as Pokémon Go then it will work.

Voice your support for ARcore for Razer Phone 2 here (I have).

Just to clarify, RP1 had ARCore support. It was removed for some reason (found out the hard way 😢 ).

That's.... incredibly bizarre.
I've been asking the Razer support for ARCore app. And I just received an email from "higher" department that specializes this kind of things.

"Hi, Jash,

Thank you for responding and for the information.
It is very unfortunate to inform you that we currently have no visibility on when will they be updating us since it will be under a poll. It will be drawn depending on the volume of demands.
Hoping for your patience and understanding.

All the best,

That's sad. Why does asus rog have AR core but not razer?
This is starting to get sad.. Razer is a company revolving around making "Gaming" products. They made a gaming phone that cant play the current generation of mobile games because of non-existent ARcore support.. Do we petition Razer to get the ball rolling, or Google to get this out there? I feel like were never going to get ARcore support since Razer is such a niche phone, and not enough people have them. Compared to all the new iphones and Samsung flagship phones they crank out every year, people are going to keep prioritizing those and never get around to the RP2 until its obsolete and replaced with a new phone...

I love my Razer Phone 2, really I do.. The only thing I hate about it is its lack of compatibility with every game I want to play with ARcore...

I've scoured the internet for any sort of work around.. Even contemplated rooting my phone to try to force an ARcore workaround.. and no one has any success stories that make me think its worth the risk. This is one of the few forums I found that people are still talking about it.. Are we really just that few and far between?

I'm desperate here, Razer, Google, someone say something that sounds hopeful..
*bump*

Well, minecraft earth just released in my area, and low and behold I cant play it on my fancy Razer Phone 2. Have to use my old Samsung Galaxy because that works with ARcore...

Are we just never getting it? Because I got this phone specifically to play games like this, I couldn't do Pokemon Go, and now the next latest and greatest is more then capable but just out of reach...

I don't even know who to blame.. Google for not white-listing it, Razer for not pushing hard enough, or myself for buying this phone with the false hope of it being compatible. x.x
Does anyone here have any idea of how one can go about asking for help with this topic? Like, how to get a hold of a Razer dev/mod to see if they have any information, or maybe how to go about asking google in case its something they need to do on their side?
Just ordered 2 Razer phone 2's for my kids. I guess I was foolish to believe that a dedicated gaming phone could handle all of the current games. AR is what they want to play. I guess I'll be returning the phones....
