Hey,

I have upgraded from an old Razer Kraken 7.1 headset to the Blackshark v2. While the audio quality is fine, my issue lies with the audio placement / volume being disproportionate.

In DOTA 2, I set my audio to stereo as 7.1 sound in a top-down isometric game does not work very well. The issue I am having is that any audio being played from the centre of the screen sounds fine, but anything to the left or the right is so loud that the audio gets distorted.

I've played around with my settings and I cannot find any solution to this issue. I use 100% normalisation, no bass boost and my EQ settings are the same as my old headset which does not have this issue. I have also disabled THX Spatial Audio as it sounds terrible, to be honest.

Any questions I'll be happy to answer, and advice I'll be happy to try and very appreciative.

Have you tried reinstalling the audio drivers of your headset? Does the issue occur while using it with or without a USB sound card? Please send me the serial number of your device via PM. That way, I can verify its model and look into firmware-related solutions. I'll pick it up from there.
