Is this a missing feature? Does just nobody care, that in 2017 such an expensive laptop doesn't have such a basic feature? Is it only me who is affected? Did it exist at one point?

I have the newest available synaptics driver from installed (
There is no setting for me in the driver control panel that enables this feature.

For people who do not understand what a back or forward gesture on a trackpad is, you place (depending on the settings) two, three or sometimes even four fingers on your trackpad, then you swipe them to the left or right on your trackpad. This move will, for example, go back or forward in a browser window.

I am in contact with support, currently they are asking if i can provide a video... (not sure if serious, no offense...)

    All we have:

    1. Scroll: Place two fingers on the touchpad and slide horizontally or vertically.
    2. Zoom in or out: Place two fingers on the touchpad and pinch in or stretch out.
    3. Show more commands (similar to right-clicking): Tap the touchpad with two fingers, or press in the lower-right corner.
    4. Drag windows: Double-tap and drag the menu bar (top of app window)
    5. See all open windows: Place three fingers on the touchpad and swipe them away from you.
    6. Show Task view: If you're viewing all open windows (from the step above), swipe up again with three fingers.
    7. Show the desktop: Place three fingers on the touchpad and swipe them towards yourself.
    8. Switch between open windows: Place three fingers on the touchpad and swipe right or left.
    9. Cortana/Action Center: Tap the touchpad with three fingers.

That is why it doesn't make any sense to me...
The touchpad clearly is able to handle two, three and four finger gestures.
We get Cortana and Action Center, but no back and forward?

This can not be that hard to fix can it?
Its also the first synaptics trackpad i have encountered in years that doesn't have this feature - which makes it even weirder.

I hate synaps junk, and yes, no reason for it to NOT be implemented, I use that gesture a lot on mac.

Hmm I also thought that I had this gesture available on at least the edge browser but I suddenly miss it

Are there ppl from Razer reading this forum? I would love a statement.

This is almost comparable to selling computer mice, and silently removing the scroll wheel function at some point.

(I also made a post on reddit, and some ppl are reporting they do have this feature... - must be an older driver version or some other difference, i dont know yet - i also cant find older driver versions for download)
