Basilisk Grip Pads Peeling Off

I'm having issues with the thumb grip on my Basilisk coming off. I've had my mouse about a year at this point, and if I spend longer than a few hours the grip starts pushing in and up, and unless I fix it, my thumb is inevitably on the "stick" (which for some reason isn't all that sticky anymore... probably the reason it's moving.)

I submitted a case to support and was denied for "user error" which... I'm not sure how I possibly could have caused this to happen when all I do is use my PC for gaming and a half-days worth of office work.

Is anyone else noticing issues with the grips peeling off?
