Basilisk Ultimate Repeatedly Disconnecting and Reconnecting and effecting other mice.

Userlevel 1
I just received my new Basilisk Ultimate in the mail today, and as soon as I set it up I started having the issue that every few minutes or more, it would disconnect and make the windows disconnect sound three times and windows device connect 1-2 times. I restarted my computer multiple times, checked for synapse updates, and re-installed synapse 3, and nothing seems to work.

As soon as I was done typing this it made the disconnect sound twice but not the third time and never reconnected. I tried plugging in my old mouse (also uses a dongle but I've never had issues with it) and that wouldn't work either. I had to restart my PC using keyboard shortcuts and now it works fine but I'm just waiting for it to start making that dreaded sound again...

Also, whenever it disconnects the light on my charging dock turns off and yes I do have the dongle currently in the dock but it also has connection issues when plugged straight into PC

(5 minutes later) Yup... There it goes again

Update: It is now happening with my old mouse as well

Update 2: I ended all razer synapse and cortex processes and it ran fine for a long time, but then when I re-opened both of them my issues started up again within 30-60 seconds, so it's obviously software-related.

Hi Woahdang_Jr,

Does the intermittent connection persist even if you plug the dongle directly into your PC? You can also update its firmware by following the steps here to improve its connection to the dongle. Feel free to check our self-help page for product updates and troubleshooting steps or PM me anytime should you need further assistance.

Yes I do believe that I still have issues when plugged directly into my pc (albeit through my case and not board I/O) and I’ll check out the driver updates when I get home.

I used both the firmware updater and the pairing utility and it still seems to happen, but so far having it plugged in directly using the provided usb cable has fixed this issue. Also, I'm not sure if this is a related issue but it appears that my steelseries keyboard is also being very delayed.

This might be the same issue I'm having. Following to see if there is a resolution.

It does seem to be a connection issue with the dongle, because when I have it wired into my pc there are no issues whatsoever, but as soon as I go wireless it keeps disconnecting every 5-60ish seconds

Same here about the dongle, but mine disconnects immediately, only reconnecting for 1 second when I move the mouse. Did yours happen out of nowhere? Mine worked fine for like 8 months and then out of nowhere I had this issue, and now I’ve had 2 replacement units that exactly replicate the issue.

It was right out of the box for me. And sometimes it is just whenever I move my mouse. I have noticed it’s a little more frequent (I think) when putting a little pressure towards the left click of the scroll wheel or when I’m scrolling. That could just be coincidence though.

At this point I would return all my razer gear if I could. I’ve had a wireless Deathadder that had your issue new in box, now this, and I’ve always had phantom keystrokes while using razer keyboards (Blackwidow Elite, Blackwidow V3 Pro.) The only product I’ve had that still works fine is my Deathadder Elite Destiny 2 edition, and I had to replace the skates on that with PTFE ones because the originals were coming off. I wanted to keep in the Synapse ecosystem, but I’m pretty defeated at this point. Customer Care just keeps forwarding me to RMA and sending me replacements that will inevitably have the same issue.

This is my only Razer peripheral I’ve had issues with. My cynosa v2 and my kraken ultimate work just fine (I just simply upgraded to a steel series apex 7)

I fixed the issue for me, and honestly I can’t tell you exactly how. I did another clean install, but honestly I think it was that I fiddled with the settings in the power menu while the mouse was plugged in with the cable. I just moved sliders around for power off and on toggling and other stuff and when I went to plug the doc back in, it worked. I don’t know. Maybe this will help you. Good luck

Do you mean these?

Yeah, that’s part of that I did. That, and I did just wipe the profile saved to that mouse and re-binded my mouse inputs to what they were. I don’t know if that would have fixed it, but that’s everything I did
