Can anyone tell me how this works on a variety of surfaces.
Need a new BT Mouse for my Surface pro and sometimes I use the mouse on vinyl benches, wooden table etc.

It uses the same sensor as DA Elite, Basilisk (V1), so it will work well on these surfaces.
Recently impulse-bought this mouse, and I'm not impressed. Disregard the boasts about "fastest transmission speed on the market" and know that this pricepoint does not deliver nearly what it should on different surfaces. Compare it to any of the Logitech MX Anywhere models, ANY of them. You can use them on glass, your leg, it doesn't matter, the sensor will track.
The Basilisk has absolutely no tracking capability on glass, and with my desk having a surface that's two gigantic glass panels with a wooden middle (corner desk) it's laughable because the point of BT is the freedom of not being constrained to a limited region, like a mousepad, or a very particular non-glass area of your desk.
It loses a great deal of "smoothness" on the two wooden surfaces I've used, and is basically useless on a textured quilt or carpet. This was a waste of money if you were intending to escape the limitations of a mousepad or flat and opaque surface. It's also disturbingly "rattly" due to the hollowed out interior where the battery and dongle reside. Removing the mouse from its surface and placing it back down soft or firm, you will feel the rattle, and it's irritating as hell.
Returning it tomorrow, I'm not even replacing it for an MX Anywhere because I already have one, I just hoped for improvement from this product. No RGB so don't bother utilizing it in a dark space unless you place it where there is lumination, or you'll step on the damn thing or place a beverage or disk on top of it.
Very underwhelming product, Razor I expected a lot more from a device like this in 2020. Everyone's stuck in their homes anyway, why would you not consider that in your design workflow?

Not every mouse works on glass well (only "ball mouse", and some old ADNS-9500 laser mouses, that was designed for Icemat glass mousepad).
