Batteries refuse to work in Basilisk mouse.

I got a Razer Basilisk Hyper X a few months ago and it has worked fine up until yesterday. The battery died, which is fine, but no other battery will even get it to turn back on. Only the one battery that came with the mouse will get it to light up, before turning red and showing it is dead once again.

How do I get another battery to connect and work in the mouse?

For reference, it's the same brand of EnergizerMAX battery, but it simply will not work. I have tried three different batteries and nothing, but they are all perfectly fine in powering other battery-operated things.
