The krakens are just very big, not saying they are bad since I have used the Normal Krakens before. They just aren't very mobile due to the fact they don't fold up.

But I use the ATH-M40x which is just basically more neutral version of the ATH-M50x and weighs less. I picked up the M40x around $100 on amazon and it does well, its outlasted every single pair of headphones I have ever owned though.

Still the truth is that you might want to try them first before deciding. Even try some other pairs of headphones or some good earbuds, like the H3 ANC I use outside the house.

I would say neither. You could get a better pair of Bose headphones for the same price. Bose will also replace for free if they break within one year. After you first year you can trade in for a newer pair at a huge discounted price.

Someone spent a lot of time on stating their knowledge... ;)

Are you in the field of expertise in headphone/headset performances?

You would be an excellent reviewer. :)

I think it just comes down to price/repping their brand.

audio quality is both similar, but beats costs so much for branding

I don't think this is the best place to ask the question, unless you just wanted the answer to be the krakens. Trying to be unbiased I think that the krakens are by far the better choice, but a true best place to ask a question like this would be on reddit, 4chan, or an audio forum. I'm sure if you went on the probably-non-existant beats forum, they'd all say to get beats.

For me the only reason i don't really like wearing Krakens outdoors is due to the size and neon colour of the headphones. If they were a lot more suddle then i would easily wear them all the time.

At the moment the Hammerhead pro V2 is perfect for me right now

Just try to get the free mobile headset and try it out yourself, if you are really into audio quality then you should do research about audio and get it yourself with reviews left by the community

im using the razer adaro stereo headphones (that came with my tactical pro bag), its has excellent sound quality but prolong use can be a turnoff. the black cushion traps heat after prolong use and its irritating after a while use.
