Blackshark v2 Pro - Volume knob gets softer at max compared to 99%

As the title says, I noticed recently when I turned my blackshark v2 pro (wireless) volume knob to maximum or 100%, the audio I am listening to actually gets lower in volume/amplitude. By turning the knob just slightly down from max to (what I envision) is somewhere around 96-99% -- let's call it "submaximal" -- the volume of my audio got noticeably louder compared to at max position.

The remaining positions on the volume knob as you go from the "submaximal" position to 50% to 0% are all functioning normally to their expected amplitudes. In other words, turning the knob fully clockwise (on the left ear) to its mechanical limit yields a lower volume than if you had the knob turned to just slightly below the mechanical limit (and I'm talking millimeters of a turn in the opposite direction).

It just feels like the maximum position of the volume knob is messed up and I don't remember this being an issue for the months I've owned the headset. However, I generally keep the headset knob in the 50% "grooved" position except when I am listening to spotify or some other music app/youtube.

Could a recent firmware/software update broken this or do I need to consider an RMA? It is kind of annoying that the "full blast" position is actually lower than 90-99% positions.
