Hey community. I've got a question and couldn't figure out an answer.
    I have a 21.5 inch iMac, Mid 2011, 8 Go, AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 Mo, 2,7 GHz Intel Core i5, MacOS 10.11.6

Right now i'm using the usual Apple keyboard but I'd like to change for a mechanical one. At first I thought about buying the Blackwidow chroma v2 with the windows layout, but according to Razer, the drivers won't work. I'm not sure what would be the exact consequences, but I'd rather not waste 190 € for a keyboard that can only type.
On the other hand, I saw a thread (link at the end), where they said that, aside of the chroma configurator, it all worked perfectly well.
So if you have any experience with this situation, or if you could explain me the possible impact of the driver, i'd gladly read your tips.
And also, do you know if i will be able to configure keys by keys ?

I have experience with the BlackWidow Chroma Stealth, but not any of the v2s. My BWCS can do all of the custom Chroma stuff, but not any of the automatic game profiles. I'm running a 2014 MBP with Sierra.

So, obviously two differences: difference in keyboard, and difference in computer. I'm really not sure if the newer keyboard will work with the older computer, or if the Chroma Configurator for Mac will work on anything other than a BlackWidow Chroma 1st gen.

Well, as you said there's 2 main differences. I guess I'll continue my search on certain points i'd like to confirm, but thanks a lot for your answer ! I guess that means i can at least aim for an older keyboard if i can find one :D
Aside from this I'd like to know if you had ton configure keys yourself or if it all configured by itself ?
