Blackwidow Elite not saving lighting profile

When I create a lighting profile in Synapse I save it to the onboard memory. When I close synapse or even sign out of my account the lighting profile disappears and goes back to the default spectrum lighting pattern. I'm trying to save the pattern permanently but it looks like Razer wants us to keep their software running in the background for the lighting to be saved...
