Hello all, first time poster here.

I recently purchased the blackwidow elite; and I love the board. Though recently, I've been experiencing electric static discharge- I'm assuming from myself to the metal body of the board.

Here's what I've checked so far: without wearing rubber slippers seems to alleviate it? not wearing wool seems to alleviate it some too. However, I've also noticed that other devices plugged in that are on my computer desk seem to exhibit the same electric static discharge (not always though).

I checked the outlet and it's a 3 prong. I have a surge protector as well (though the unit itself doesn't have an actual "ground" light).

Is there anything I can do to further prevent electric static discharge? I really don't think it's the unit itself since I would assume if there was a leak, i'd be getting shocked - every single time.?

Thanks a ton for all of your input!
