    Hey guys,

I tried the Beta of Destiny 2 on my razer blade late 2016 (1060).
I used an external display (AOC 1080p@144Hz panel through the TB3 port) and ... well it was not quite stable.
Mostly playable and smooth (60+ frames) but the framerate would drop at times in more intensive scene and the imput lag was horific (making it barely playable at times). Also it pained me to not be able to fully use my 144hz refresh rate.
I lowered the graphics to the minimun settings and even downscaled to 90 % and it was still not stable (especially during the boss fight at some specific points).

Anyone else tried the beta on the same laptop? did you have better performance than me?

Have you tried it through the HDMI port instead? Supposedly the usb-c port is connected to the processor, while the HDMI is connected to the GPU...so there might be a bottleneck on the usb-c port if using a lot of graphics intensive things? I had no problems at all running on my blade 1080p almost maxed settings on 60fps

Yes, the TB3 speaks directly to the Intel iGPU but the dGPU is doing all the rendering work. Going through the TB3 actually reduces performance a little than using the HDMI (According to my preliminary test in Overwatch) but we are talking about a few frame drops over an average of 110 frames.
Also, the laptop screen also seems to be connected through the iGPU so going from the laptop screen to the TB3 connected screen results in the same performance (Once again, according to my preliminary test in Overwatch, not real science)

But the main issue is that my monitor doesn't do 144Hz through the HDMI port so for every other game, I would loose that feature.
