I just ordered mine after researching gaming laptops over the past year. Got the 3070 version. Size and price were right in my ballpark. Almost went with the ASUS, ROG Flow x13, then this gem popped up last week. A little bigger screen and less money. This will be my first new laptop purchase in over 6 years. Something portable I can use for work and go to for gaming while traveling. I seriously feel like a kid at Christmas. I have some reservations about the cooling while gaming, but it's got to be better then my insanely hot Alienware laptop. Cheers
No, maybe next gen ryzen with usb 4 if intel generously enough to let amd get the certification. I think you don’t need Egpu for a while it’s already beast gpu on it maybe only high end card 3070/80 that exists like a unicorn can beat the GPUs performance. Egpu is nice for bumping performance on laptops with a weak gpu like stealth 13 or book 13.
I wish one day, I could buy this.. Still looking for a Gaming Laptop to use when travelling, still have a survey, still thinking on what brand to choose, and still saving some money on that budget.
I don't get what all the big hype is about for a laptop. I mean they are great for traveling and.... Well that's about all I got for it but desktop is where it's at. So much you can do with the desktops and a lot more potential for upgrades and customization options. So please tell me. Why do a lot of you all like the laptops so much??
I got my Razer Blade 14 (3080) a few days ago and I've been very impressed. it's my first Razer purchase and I'm blown away by how well built this thing is and portable. I've been away from PC gaming but I an run everything at 2560x1440 165hz and Ultra that I've tried which is awesome. I haven't had much time to game but in Windows even at 165hz I'm getting about 7+ hours of battery life out of the box which is great. Overall a really great purchase. I'm super happy so far
That is a really good point about the eGPUs. I like the idea that I can get more life out of a laptop by getting the latest generation GPU for an older laptop. Even though it will not run as fast as just the new GPU. The other feature I really like about the eGPU is that it becomes a 1 wire dock.
Always been into tech, and fascinated by how much power can be crammed into modern laptops. I have my gaming desktop that I use for work and play. I need a laptop to use for work. Because of COVID last year my wife and I both have been working remotely at home so I donated my one-trick pony ThinkPad to her. Currently rocking the new Blade 14 w/ RTX 3060 and 1080p screen. I can run my office server from it in a pinch if we have network issues thanks to the beast CPU. When doing office and web work I use power saving mode and disable CPU boost. The fans turn completely off and the laptop is truly silent. I can also play any game I own comfortably on the Blade, which I couldn't do on Macs or ThinkPads. The 3060 is perfect for 1080p gaming. I am not going to get crazy and replace my desktop with a laptop anytime soon, I really enjoy building. But with the way laptops have come along over the last couple of years, it isn't crazy to think about doing just that a couple of generations from now.
