I have early 2019 model of Razer Blade 15 and I have strange problem with blue screens. From pretty much at the beginning I have got blue screens with my Blade. Blue screens were always code 50 or 116. They started randomly couple times per week but when they begin to appear almost daily so I sent my Blade to repair. The diagnose was broken memory stick that was changed.

Unfortunately this did not help so next thing I tried was a new SSD. The problem persisted so I once again installed Windows 10 from scratch and I am currently having 3 days without any issues. I haven't installed anything yet so it's running with just fresh install of Windows and all updates.

I talked to Razer and they were pretty sure that it is just a driver issue so at next I am going to install one program at time and testing it with at least 24 h before installing anything new.

Have any of you guys encountered this kind of behavior before?

As my laptop has stayed on 48 hours with only Windows installed on it I dared try install Geforce Experience. After I installed it and restarted PC I got instant blue screen. I did some research I found couple of topics from people that had similar issues.

    https://forums.geforce.com/default/...eries/geforce-experience-causing-blue-screen/

Still weird that it does not seem widespread at Razer forums as this seems to bug RTX cards.

what did you do differently at the moment it happen? I got BSOD on my rtx 2080 blade 15 model and that was only when I was installing new windows 10 update and it never happened again after I fully updated it.

I also had my 2018 blade 1060 model would BSOD when I use Lightroom to edit pictures, I had to RMA it and they couldn't find a problem, until I decided to keep digging, come to find out GPU drivers were bad so I ever used it, I uninstalled it with DDU and just used windows settings to update the gpu drivers and left it alone, and the BSOD never came back, maybe try that!

Yes Sir I did it with DDU but I am pretty confident that the problem is just Geforce Experience. I will get back if this problem still occurs.

Well it seems that I still have a problem. After 2 weeks without any issues I suddenly started getting random crashes. This time I won't have bluescreen but either my game crashes to desktop or my laptop just restarts when it's idleing.

When I checked this from Reliability monitor it shows "livekernelevent 141" error. I am still hesitant to once again reinstall Windows as this would be 6th time after buying this laptop so I have once again ask if any of you guys have encountered this error?

How about your gaming temperature, cpu and gpu? That error probably gpu related, if driver (nvidia/intel optimus) is not problem maybe bad gpu, to test this run gpu stress like unigine heaven and cpu test like xtu stress for like half hour see the temperatures and system stability. Btw are you using original ram or you upgraded it?

    Thanks for replying.

Gaming temps are good (85 gpu 50-60 cpu) and I am running original memory (though one stick was replaced in maintenance)

I am currently running Heaven and XTU and get back to you when they are finished.

I ran Furmark, Unigine Heaven, Valley and XTU stresstests whole day without zero issues.

I also got long ass checklist from Razer that completed and sent them the data.
Only error I got was from sfc/scannow command that gave me a message : "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them"

Have any of you guys encountered this and could this be significant?

Is that error ruined your usage experience, if not ignore it and enjoy your Blade. I believe if I run or scanning errors there’ll be tons error reported but the Blade it self runs like out of box condition.
Lol you don’t have to run stress test whole day, one or two hours is max imo.

Well 3000 dollar laptop crashing daily is really ruining my experience.

I havnt had any problems with my 15 rtx 2080, there is a BIOS update out now you can try that and maybe try uninstalling geforce experience and try with out and see if anything happens, like Joikansai says you don't need to stress anything unless you are trying to find a sweet stable undervoltage. Good luck!

Thanks a lot! I will test that BIOS update.

Could you test that corrupted disk on your laptop? All you have to do is to type "sfc/scannow" on the command prompt and after a minute or so you either get error or all clear messsge. I reinstalled Windows once again and right after installing it I got no errors, but right after installing all Windows Updates (did not install any programs yet) it gave me that "corrupted files" error.

I haven't used Geforce Experience in 3 weeks and I haven't got any bluescreens anymore but only these random crashes with LiveKernelEven 141 error.

Thank you very much for this article and testing.

I tried that scanning for my desktop and Surface Go and they both had some corrupted files. But if you did not get that error it could some program that I use on all 3 devices.
