Blade 15 Advanced RTX 3070 issues!

Hi everyone,

I just bought my first Razer Blade and am having nothing but problems trying to play games.

I am only getting 30 frames or less no matter the settings and I cannot figure it out. This is a £2000+ laptop that should not have these problems straight out of the box.

I originally thought it was something to do with optimus and the graphics card switching and/or the refresh rate switching

After trying various things e.g enabling high-performance mode in NVidia control panel as well as in the bios and synapse and getting nowhere I downloaded MSI afterburner and it seems that the GPU is being power limited when in game but it is also receiving over 700w of power which is WAY too much.

Could this be the issue? Has anyone else experienced this?

Is there a known fix or should I just try and get a replacement machine?

Have you disabled the battery boost in the NVIDIA control panel too? If you haven't, please follow the steps from this link. Should the issue persist, please send me a PM, including your laptop's serial number. Let's continue our conversation there.
