Blade 15 mid 2019 / 1660ti - Fan issues?


Hi,

i just got my new blade 15 base 2019 today. Unfortunately the fan kicks in very early and gets unbearable loud. The noise of the fans just sound unhealthy to me. Like they are not running smoothly. Whining or something. Can't explain better with my poor english.

Is that normal? Are there any Solutions?

Hey there! Sorry to hear about your Razer Blade 15's fan concern. And yes, any excess noise from the laptop is not good. What activities or programs are running when the issue starts? Please send me a video showing the issue together with the laptop's serial number via PM. I'll pick it up from there.

Hey, I have the same problem with the Blade 15 Base 2019 Mid. Even right now writing this reply, the fans start spinning and making loud enough noise to wake up a person sleeping in the same room, but all I use right now is Microsft Edge ( ONE single tab). I couldn't find any unusual processes in the background, beside the regular Windows 10 stuff.

Also, I noticed that right before fans start spinning there is a crackling sound , like "zzz" from the right fan.

I have this laptop for about a month and I don't even start using it's power even on 30% I think. No games, no video editing - just surfing 1-3 tabs in Microsoft Edge. I hoped to not notice this problem, but it's really hard, tried to search for solutions, but unsuccessful, so I already starting thinking about changing the thermal paste and adding some new thermal pads, but the PC never filled hot, so I am confused...

Hope you can help me too.

Hey there! Thanks for posting your Razer Blade 15's concern here. I admire your plan, however, opening the laptop can potentially harm and void its limited warranty. Let's investigate further by sending me a PM together with the device serial number. Let's continue from there.
I guesss that I am in teh same boat. I got the 2019 Advanced one with RTX 2070 in mercury white.
The fan sounds pretty loud just running google chrome with this window and a youtube tab open.
Additionaly it sounds like a I am spinng a wheel of fortune some times (that slapping noise that the plastic does when you spin it). But it´s not all the time...so I dunno

Exactly, it sounds like there is an HDD inside.

I really can't understand why razer is not giving us more controll over the fans. The temperatures are more then fine but the fans are running constantly.

Our Razer Notebooks aren't budget Laptops, are they? I thought i could expect what i paid for.

Please don't get me wrong, i'm just a bit
