Hello All, I recently updated to 456.38 version and its causing black screen on dedicated graphics only. I can load in optimus mode but then no 120 hz mode and time to time i get black screen and comes back to normal. I just updated intel drivers also seems to fix the random black screens but I still can't load dedicated graphics mode. I am planning to downgrade the graphics driver but was curious if there is any other alternative to solve this issue.

You're not alone; I have the same issue with the following specs:

Razer Blade Pro 17" (System SKU RZ09-03295E63-R3U1)
Intel Core i7-10875H
Nvidia 2080 Super Max-Q
4k 120Hz Display
and BIOS version 1.04, EC version 1.01, Windows 10 2004

I've encountered this issue on 456.38 drivers in dedicated graphics mode as well with mine and ended up rolling back to 452.22 as a result. I read that 456.55 has this problem as well. I'm not sure about 456.71 from last week but I'm not holding my breath.
There's a known issue that Razer Support is working on in regards to this. There's a very long thread in the support forum discussing it. No solution yet.

Support is asking us to open cases so they can gather info. But no fix yet.

I second that as well, and 452.06 seems to be the last fully working and stable version for me. Tried updating a few times to the newer version but it keeps on breaking with either the built-in display or the attached one I have at home.

Unfortunately tried also 456.71 and did not work for me either.

That's the thread that has had some Razer support in it. Albeit not happening quickly.

There is no fix yet, but you can do this to avoid the black screen:

  • Update to the latest BIOS version.
  • Clean install your current GPU drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller.
  • Install NVIDIA's GPU driver version 456.02 or older.

I'd appreciate it if you can send me your details via PM so I can submit a ticket on your behalf.
Same for me black screen after nvidia driver update. Rtx 2080 max q. Bios version 1.03 but cannot access anything because of boot looping.

Do you have an external monitor? In any case, please send me a PM. There may be a few things that we can try to get you back up and running.
