Blade 2016 Preorder Shipment Delay

    I think they knew all along that this second delay was going to happen

    Third actually, First to 22nd and shortly after 25th.

    I just sent a email to ask for reason, no idea what the response will be.
     
  3. Of course they knew. My experience and the industry I'm in tells me that the intel update was just an excuse and there's something bigger that caused these delays. We know they suck at promising and they know they suck. What pisses me off is they didn't do anything about it. History just keeps repeating itself for razer.

  5. It really is terrible. I'm never doing a pre-order again through them. They have no idea what's going on when it comes to good customer service. Dell is better than them and that is saying something cause Dell is a mess.

    I work with enterprise level Dell equipment. Everytime Ive had a server go down or have ever had an issue, Dell would dispatch a tech to diagnose and replace hardware. I've dealt with other vendors but none have provided the service Dell has. They get an A+ from me.
     
  8. Enterprise is completely different than customer service at home. I'm in IT and deal with Dell, HP and IBM all day long. If you pay for your maintenance agreements of course they will bend over backwards for you with 4 hour support and all that nonsense. But when it comes to ordering stuff from your home...Dell is absolute shit. I don't even want to get into with what happened to me with an Alienware 17 R3 that I ordered. That's the whole reason I went with the Razer Blade. However I am regretting this decision as of now.

  9. Well I was debating about getting the Blade or not and then I bit the bullet and ordered it......guess I'll cancel my pre-order. Seems like Razer is having a lot of production problems all around. There was over a year delay for the Razer Turret, push backs on the Stealth, and then the Razer Core is coming out god knows when after the initial couple people got pre-orders.

    I'd have more faith if my first Stealth I had gotten wasn't DOA.
     
  10. I'm annoyed and disappointed too but let's not resort to hyperbole. Many companies "do that", delays of two, five, twenty-four, even indefinite happen all the time.

    It should be on the news? Should it? Prince died, Brazil is in political turmoil, refugees are flooding Eurasia, and a two-month delay on a laptop should be in the news?

  11. This is normal at enterprise level. But consumer level, maybe different. What really scares me is that one of the modules in 2016 blade had an engineering flaw. I work at design and engineering of power systems of stuffs specially servers and consumer grade motherboards.

    LOL maybe not the news. But nonetheless, Razer has some of the worst customer service I have ever come across. It is not acceptable and I truly hope they lose orders over this..
     

  13. I want to remind you, and everyone else. That it technically wasn't delayed until this morning. They quoted "April" in their press release. This push into May is the first real delay.

    It was delayed though. They clearly stated on their website "ships from March 31st" Then to april 22nd, then to the 25th, Now not until May 18th. That is a delay if I've ever seen one

  17. We all have different views on this statement. When you promise that you'll start shipping March 31st then pushed back on April 22 that's the first delay, April 21 now and pushed back to May 18, this was the second delay for since they haven't shipped anything yet.
    Even the ones that per-ordered within minutes after it came live on the razer store.

    I mean the only thing the xps doesn't have is the 970. It even has thunderbolt 3 and I read that things like the core will work with it. The infinity display is also pretty awesome. I'm thinking it's a safe bet

  20. It wasn't delayed until they actually left the month of April. Read the press release.
