Hello,

can a "Official" tell me, if that coil whine on the new Razer Blade RTX
advanced model - is resolved or is it still the same like everyone is complaining about ?

I'm curious as well, but from what I heard it was the M.2 drive used, is this not the case?
I have one. The one with rtx 2080 mq and 144hz 1080p panel. No coil whine.

Did you replace the drive? My 2060 from Best Buy had it but very minutely and I returned it after hearing about it.

Now I have an MSI GS65 and for the price it's fine but I hate to settle on this because it's just so cheap feeling. Concave slightly so the screen doesn't close 100%, doesn't sit flat on the table. It's not wobbly or anything but since it's concaved a little the edges don't quite sit flat.

On top of all that, the track pad can be clicked if I push semi hard on the palm rest!!! I first discovered that when I was showing a friend its build quality and it was essentially the final nail in the coffin for me.

But I justify keeping it because of coil whine. Since I bought from Best Buy I have 30 days left of my 40 days to return it and I'm hoping it's fixed by the end of this so I can just spend money and get one.

Anyway I'm hoping it's a simple fix like a new hard drive. I'll just buy a 2 TB one and hope it cures the whine if that was the cause.
No coil whines. I got lucky. Ips panel with no light bleed too. Just my mamba wireless broke in less than 2 months. And now my blackwidow is acting up. This experience makes me afraid to buy this brand now. However. My asus 2080 ti also came dead on arrival. And i had issue with my msi 1080. All brands i chose are disappointing me.
Even after SSD exchange still coil whine.
RTX 2060 MW edition here (also from Best Buy), no coil whine that I could detect. I upgraded the SSD and all is good here.

I don`t think that the coil whine is dependend on the SSD. I replaced mine as well and have coil whine while plugged in but not on battery. In addition the coilwhine comes from the region around the S and D key but the SSD is placed on the right side of the Blade.

oh no I didn't mean replacing the SSD fixed it haha, I just meant as part of an upgrade I upped the SSD size. even before the SSD upgrade I didn't notice any noticeable coil whine. There is a bios update that is supposed to fix the issue but I cannot even get it installed, stuck at 98% like most reddit owners have posted.

Does the update simply cannot be completed and you stay with the older version or is the unit somehow bricked after BIOS update failed?

I don't there is BIOS update for 2019 model? the 1.05 BIOS is for 2018 model.
I have the 1.04 BIOS which everyone seems to be stuck at 98% trying to update to (mine came with 1.04) but coil whine is still there but only in idle and very quiet environments. Hopefully the 1.05 BIOS is released for 2019 and fixed the coil whine (or improves it at least).

It doesn’t sound right, I would return it. Can you upload the picture about that uneven area. Probably the cassis not sit well that also may explain why pressing palm rest area made that trackpad clicked.
