    Hey all,

I don't know if this has been discussed much but since the purchase of my RBS nearly two years ago I have been looking for a good alternative to the core so I am able to run dual monitors at home. A lot of the USB-C hubs I found that had HDMI support didn't support power through. Which meant I could not charge my RBS at the same time.

Recently I found the Satechi Type-C adapter, which not only did it support HDMI and power pass through, it also has a great selection of other ports such as 3xUSB 2 ports, an ethernet port, SD and micro-SD port. So far it has been working really well supporting usb devices, a dual display (one from usb-c hub and one from in built HDMI port in RBS) and most importantly, charging my laptop. The one I purchased was for $129 AUD but they did have cheaper models which I assume would work also.

I just wanted to share in case anyone was looking for a similar solution.

Do you notice a difference in graphics performance when gaming through the hub?

Not with the single monitor, when running dual external monitors the only thing i noticed was that the fans would ramp up partially more than they normally would but I haven't noticed any difference in performance.
