I'm currently in the market for a new laptop and the razer blade stealth is definitely a good contender in my options. With the end of the year approaching, I was hoping to probably update my current laptop. Does anyone know if the Blade Stealth will be getting any cpu updates in the next few months? From my knowledge, I would probably assume that the next cpu upgrade will still be 4 cores but with a higher base and turbo clock rates. However, I'm not sure if I should get the current blade stealth around the holidays or wait longer for a possible updated stealth.

I'm mostly going to use the stealth for coding projects and schoolwork, and the lightweight and portability of an ultrabook will definitely be better than my current ~4lb laptop w/ power brick lol.

its really up to you, my 7500U has a great battery life and I wonder if they do make the 4 cores if it would effect the battery life. DUO core would do fine with coding right? is it a heavy CPU base program?

Hm, some good notes. I heard mix things about the battery life on the Blade Stealth with the intel 8550U. But since the power brick is so small and portable, I don't see much of an issue bringing it.

As for my coding, my class assignments should do well on the blade stealth. If I ever do something that requires more graphically intensive programming or requires multi-threading, I'll probably resort to the laptop I'm using now as it has an Intel 6700HQ chip with a 960m GPU.

Thanks for the input. Maybe the blade stealth will get an upgrade with the Whiskey lake processors, like the I7-8565U.
