Okay, so this is something that made me curious in the community. Did you build or buy your PC? If you bought it, who/where did you buy it from? If you built it, what are your specs and how much did it cost you?

I personally don't even have a PC yet. I'm still gaming on my laptop, and it isn't even that good. I'm planning on getting parts to build my PC, and hopefully get started on my YouTube channel and Twitch.

Personally I buy, and I plan to keep things that way for the foreseeable future. I used to build desktop PCs from components like you're planning to, but I really think mobile is where it's at. So now I game only on laptops. The industry and market are focusing heavily on mobile so that's where all the innovation is (look at the Razer Blade Stealth & Core for example).

My new one is bought, but it's a Razer Blade Stealth :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
    My old desktop was built:
    NZXT Razer H440 case
    Asus M5A99FX Pro R2 motherboard
AMD FX 8320(OC to 4.2GHz) processor
    Vengeance 16GB 2333MHz RAM
    AMD 120GB SSD
    WD 1TB HDD
Gigabyte Windforce Radeon HD 7870 graphics card
And I can't remember the wireless card I had lol

What do you plan on building if I may ask?

I'm currently planning on building this:

    Intel Pentium G3258 processor
    Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
    ASRock H97M Pro4 motherboard
    G.Skill Ripjaws X series (2 x 4GB) memory
    Sandisk SSD Plus 120GB
    Seagate Barracuda 1TB
    PowerColor Radeon R7 370 graphics
    Silverstone PS07B case
    EVGA 430W PSU power supply

(Let me know if any of these parts don't work together or are bad ideas, I'm really new to this) This build will be my first, and it's obviously gonna be upgraded throughout the years.

    I bought mine from CyberpowerPC.

    Intel 6700k
    NZXT Razer H440 case
    16gGB Ripjaw RAM
    evga 980ti Superclocked
    1TB Samsung EVO SSD

I finally decided to get the Stealth for mobility, and get a desktop to last for 5 years. I also wanted something that could handle VR in case I decide it's worth it.

I built my PC several years ago. Personally I think it is easy to do, just a little research required to make sure components work together and the benefit is much more customization options, and often cheaper. I'm a fan of picking the components I want then watching for good deals on un-used parts from amazon, newegg, or ebay.

    my current system:
    win 10 64
    i7-3770 (some random rocketfish cooler)
    16gb g.skill DDR3 ram
    EVGA Z68 FTW mobo (PCIE 1.0 I know :/)
    EVGA GTX 770
    Samsung EVO 840 256gb
    Seagate hybrid 4Tb
    Cooler Master 1000w modular PSU

Around 600 dollars at most. The list I have up there might cost me about 520$-570$.

I would build, but for the time being... bought - sticking with my razer blade for portability and convenience. i'm still a student, but it is nice to get home from work and game some.

only 8gb RAM might now be enough for a few years...

    get 2x 8gbs for 16 :)

I built because of the low cost and the ability to stay up-to-date with components without having to replace the whole computer. You CAN do this with some prebuilt but there are limitations sometimes based on case size and such where as most DIY builds have cases that will fit most video cards
