I have a 2015 Razer blade fully upgraded but stock from razor. My battery bloated and destroyed my full system, track pad case and eventually rendering my computer useless. See Pics.

I understand the system is 5 years old but support offered no help, no solution and no discount on anything for replacement. They basically told me here is a link, we have a bunch of new product and you can buy it.

So basically your $2900 laptop has a 5 year lifespan and them once it breaks due to the internals THIER team decided to use, you can go buy a new one. I take great care of my computer and use it as a means of providing for my family (work).

I was also told it proposed a threat and a cold harm me and my family because of the bloated battery and basically good luck with figuring out. I was also told it could harm if I disassembling my computer.

I want this to be know that they do not support their customers and will not offer even one once of help, support anything..... it blows my mind and people should know the company they are buying from.

I WAS a loyal Razer customer but can no longer support this brand.

I mean even a I'm sorry this is out of warranty... here is a % off a new computer so we can get you up and running on a new machine. I mean what that cost is that to them.... nothing.

    I am honestly blown away.

Pease see all details related to case.

It really is pretty low of them to basically say sorry guy, go buy a new computer. Razer has usually been good about offering parts and what not but it seems recently they are doing it less and less. What's crazy is their new anti-waste / green earth initiative. You'd think they'd factor this kind of thing into that program. Battery swelling seems to be a huge issue now. Mine just started doing it on my 15'' Advanced model (mid 2019) I doubt they'll offer any support other than telling me to pay through the nose to ship it and then pay through the nose to MAYBE replace the battery.

Your best bet is to buy a new battery either on ebay or amazon. That's probably what I'm going to do. You can still save your machine! Luckily they aren't glued in like apple's.

That is a bummer, no company can go much longer than their warranty though or they'll be out of business. That does suck though, hopefully you can get a new setup soon:frown_:

Yah, I am going to look for one but honestly the track pad is still broken because of it so not sure if its worth the Fix. I guess i can use it as a desktop only for now. Thank for the reply, I understand its older but I use to work in customer service and we would still help a customer out in some sort a way by means of discount, maybe a part... I just felt like it worth sharing. Best of luck to you with yours, if you search on google you can find a lot of people with the same problem, with Razer laptops. It sucks because its a great alt to mac books for work/play but I will most likely have to look elsewhere.

Yah, I understand. It was more just the fact how they responded and your just out of luck. They don't even support the parts anymore and the fact that it broke my track pad.... so even if I do get a new battery is pretty much done. I just felt like as someone who takes great care of their stuff should need to replace their computer at the 5 year mark completely and its a part the Razer provided that failed, absolutely no fault on me.

honestly whats it to them to give a replacement battery and then restore a customers faith. I would have 100% bought a new Razer after that. So maybe a $50 cost to them = a customer who would have bought the next generation laptop next year or so at $3000.

You can also find ALOT more people online with similar issues with the Razer Laptos.

Not entirely true though. There are a few companies that have 3+ year limited warranties on their laptops. I've even seen some with 5 year warranties! If they have a fantastic warranty, people are more inclined to buy the product because they know it'll be supported. It makes sense to have a limited warranty on something that is mass-produced on a grander scale that sells for less like a lot of Razer's peripherals. A 1 - 2 year warranty on those products is fair. Why is it that something like my $100 basilsk v2 has a much longer warranty than a near-$3000 laptop? Makes no sense. Razer is huge. They have a ton of capitol. They can afford to re-work their warranty coverage if they really wanted to. They just refuse to acknowledge there's even an issue to begin with.

Hello, I came to this thread merely because you said no support. I am having the same problem, but I cannot even find the product to replace my own product anymore. I am greatly concerned as I will lose everyone on my Razor phone 2 even if I got a new phone. Charging is failing, and It will not link to my PC to transfer everything I want to keep. I just need a new USBC, but they sell no parts. They have no support, they do not even sell the phone anymore it seems. So I guess your issue is not unique. Seems they are screwing people with various products.

You are out of luck is my guess. After everything they have offered me a $10 off if I sign up for their newsletter. I have a completely unusable lap top and no solution or help rom their team. I wish the best of luck to you. Here is the last response I received... such a joke.
