Can the USB-C dongle be damaged from heat?

The USB-C dongle of Razer Barracuda X sits in a weird place on my laptop (Dell G15) near the right fan. I was wondering if the heat coming out of the vent could damage the dongle. Also, if I use the dongle with the Type C to Type A USB adapter to avoid the heat, would the transmission speed drop?

You must keep the dongle away from humidity and should operate the device within 32°F-104°F. It is also advised to plug the dongle directly into the motherboard. You can check this guide for safety guidelines and how to set up your headset.
