As soon as it starts installing, a message pops up saying ":This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." Then Installation failed with error code: 5
I enabled all users permissions and am the Administrator account so not sure what the problem is. Please help!

I'm having the same problem. I bought the Razer Ornata V2 today and I'm trying to install the Razer Synapse 3 but I can't because it says that I have computer restrictions.
PS: I have the Razer Synapse 2 installed and it works perfectly fine.

I did it! I disabled the UAC and tried to install the Razer Synapse 3 and it worked. I hope @dhongny reads this.
Have a good night, MigeruFukiru
PS: Don't forget to enable it again.
@MigeruFukiru Thank you for responding. I've tried disabling UAC and still no luck. Would Synapse 3 interfere with any RGB software? I have iCue and OpenRGB.

Did you tried to unninstall them and install Razer Synapse 3? Do you have another computer so you can test it? I'm keeping the ''Try to re-install your Windows 10'' until we go crazy.
Also, sorry for not replying earlier.
PS: Is it error: 5 ? or error: 55 ? Because I was getting the 55 one.
I'm having the same issue.
I had downloaded the Syapse 3.0 in December because of my Kraken Kitty but i had a small error : i could'nt use the Chroma Studio for the light effects. I didn't look any further into it.
Today i received my Huntsman but it wasn't recognized by Synapse. So i tried to uninstall/reinstall. Now i'm having trouble reinstalling it.
I've tried to update Windows 10, i ran the latest .exe... And i'm having the same issue as you, error 5 about restrictions (even though i'm Admin)
Disabling UAC didn't work either.
Running the .Exe with the RGB plugin disabled did'nt work either.
So i hope i'll find someone who made it.

Hello,
After a few days of troubleshooting i finally found the solution that i will gladly share :
Firstly I moved the Synapse Installer exe to my C:/ Folder. (main hard drive)
Secondly i created a new session on my computer which i changed to administrator (from the main admin session)
When i logged in the new session on my computer i ran the Razer Installer Exe that i found on my C:/ folder.
The installer ran perfectly and the "Error 5" didn't appear. I then disconnected from the session and logged in my main session. Everything worked fine then.
I hope it helped OP.
