I don't see how they can promote the CES appreciation sale when they're charging just as much for shipping.

save $50 to spend $46 on shipping? So I save ~$5?

I guess I'll just have to buy these on Amazon.com as they have 2 day shipping for FREE AND the price is usually $5~$20 lower depending on item.

I've even read about the razer nabu purchases where even if you click like mad and get to purchase it, the shipping costs so damn much to the point where you're paying retail anyways...

    why razer, why.

um..... no. The sale was not a trap. Shipping depends on where you are in relation to where Razer is. It is really quite simple. and you are still saving 50 bucks.... you would have had to pay for shipping at full price too. And what did you hope to accomplish by posting this?

You don't always have to pay for shipping. For some countries if the order is more than 50$ it's free.
I somewhat agree with the OP - it's a pity that, even though you had 50% off a product, you had to pay for the delivery. For cheaper things, like headphones, it just wasn't such a big discount. But I can see people who bought keyboard or mouse and still got the delivery for free - and that's where the sale shined.

Im sorry but I've bought a bunch of stuff from razer before and shipping isn't normally $45.

I've never had to pay more than like $15 for shipping. So for the shipping to be $45 instead of something closer to $15... Something isn't right.

And free shipping never applies to alaska and hawaii. At least give us a decent rate rather than bumping shipping prices.

Also makes no sense that I can ship something to the mainland with tracking in a box for like $10. So why does a big company charge more for shipping than a normal non-business personel like myself would pay for shipping?

if i buy items from amazon its free 2 day shipping with lower price. So no. I wouldnt pay $50 for shipping

  6. I totally agree with you ohdavee, shipment costs where way too high. On the other hand there is no company, not even Razer, that can offer you -50% plus free shipment worldwide on everything in the online store

Its only free shipping if you spend at least a certain amount of dollars.
Many sites offer this. Not just electronics.

But it's a trap because they added a little more to shipping to make up for the sale price... Or so it seems because I usually dont get charged this much for shipping.

  10. So what? Nobody forces you to make use of this sale, it's everybody's individual choice to take part. If you're about to buy something more expensive, you won't have any shipping costs , if you'll buy something less expensive (less than 59€ in my case) you'll still pay a little less than normal.

The shipping price is also influenced by the weight of the item and the rate of ups, fedex, etc.

And stop whining. At least you don't have to pay really expensive custom fees like us in Canada.

Right, so take away the $50 discount they gave you and you end up with a total of $145.98. It may not be better than Amazon but amazon has a MUCH MUCH bigger distribution network, hence why they don't need to charge as much for shipping.

Why didn't you add something else (more than $9.01) to get the free shipping? For example, a Razer mug.

Edit: nevermind, just read your previous post about free shipping to Hawaii.

    Any custom fee?

We don't have to worry about custom fees due to EU's free trade agreement, and because it's being shipped from within the EU... but, our prices are a little higher so that probably takes customs into account for us. We still get taxed though.

  17. I agree, the shipping costs is retarded. Even just to Canada.
It is cheaper and faster for me to go to a retail store and buy what I wanted even with their mark ups. lol

  20. Have any Canadians got their orders yet? Or, has anyone ordered something from the Razer store recently? I've got my eye on a new keyboard, but I'd like to now how much of an import fee we Canadians get dinged with that is over and above standard shipping costs before I pull the trigger.

    Thanks in advance.
