I thought that too until I bought philips hue lights. They're so adjustable that I can get it exactly the way I want it and even just have the light on to provide ambiance and not actually feel bright at all - kind of as if it was just back-lighting like in the chroma products.

This looks amazing. I've been holding out on grabbing some smart bulbs (and then there's a whole other conversation about whether to go for Philips Hue, LIFX etc). I think this may have made the decision for me!

Please understand that it's the game devs that need to add support for different lighting types. Razer can not define what lighting devices will be controlled by a specific game. This logic is built into the game's code. Razer's own Orbweaver Chroma doesn't get as much love as the full-sized keyboards, for example.

Having said that, we are in touch with all our past integrators to support them in updating/refreshing their integration for ambient lighting. Here is a list of games that added support for ambient lighting before the Hue support was announced, there will be more games updated over time to add support for ambient lighting. If you would like to see your favorite titles add support for ambient lighting in Chroma SDK, the best thing you can do is to send a message to the game's developers and let them know you want it.

No need to worry. We thought about that and added encryption. ;)

I would not have thought about this as something to attack.

What are you using to sync the music with your lighting?

On this topic, I discovered that the new update is compatible with Calcprogrammer1's Music Visualizer app for PC. Is that what you are using as well? It works great :smile_:

Try "Battlerite", its free to play and like 2gb in download size.
in the game menu under general is a option to enable razer-chroma.
    Hue lights works ;)
You can also look at the list from the razer staff for supported games ;)

red light when taking damage and a starlight effect when taking someone down. This is just the first line of the book. Mid 21st seems to be fully customisable.

Anyone have this setup, and a live demo of how it works while playing Overwatch?

I'd like to see if the hue lights can keep up with the action, ability cool downs, etc
