  1. Sadly, my chair is coming to the end of its life time so i need a new one. I don't think i'll be able to wait until Razer releases a chair.. so i'm curious what "gaming chairs' you guys use that are reasonably priced. I use my chair alot for gaming and office work so i think it's something i should invest in. Any advice from experience would be appreciated :)

I have heard DXRacers have some bad quality at times. Overall I don't see the real big point for gaming chairs, I use a staples chair that does me just fine, Although the gaming ones do look a lot better.
I think that the Vertagear and GTOmegaRacing chairs are pretty good and I was looking at them a few months ago too, most of them had good reviews and apparently they are good for gaming chairs.

While not a "gaming" chair I have to say the Serta brand chair I got from Office Depot is crazy comfortable & very well built though at nearly $200 it better be.

  6. Yeah, not exactly the most necessary of things but i want one that will last. My current one was over $100 but now its dying lol. I've tried a DsxRacer and it was so comfy but i'm not paying that much... With university/gaming i spend alot of time in this chair so i just need a good one that wont destroy my back lol.

Also, Log0n, thats the chair im currently using and all the padding moved and the joint between the seat and back is broken so it leans back way to far and i cant do anything to help it :slightly_sad:

I've never had a gaming chair. When I was a kid a gaming chair was the living floor playing Atari 2600. :big_grin_:

I must say i looked into it quite for some time until i decided what gaming chair to take, i mean what brand, so i was keep seeing DXRacer at every tournament and competition and a lot of publicity to them, so i realized they are the best but of course not all of them. And i got myself a DXRacer black with little shades of green, initially i thought to introduce it with the new chroma setup and so. But it is a great chair, have to say a bit low for me, but that's how all the gaming chiars are, and my back and my neck are so grateful that i made this choice. I'm sure there are more comfy chairs out there and they don't reach the DXRacer price.

This is the closest thing to a gaming chair I had until recently... the arcade that I all but lived in as a kid had a ton of these Caroma stools.

All I need in a chair is that it is comfortable and that it allows me to spend hours and hours in from of the PC playing /working without any kind of body problems. I feel that my current chair makes my back hurt after a long gaming/coding session.
I would really like a chair that adjusts to my position when coding or my "offensive" gaming tryhardl

I had a DX Racer for over a year and I can tell you it offers garbage lumbar support. I ended up with lower back issues this year (that I partially blame the chair for - also spending a lot of time sitting both at work and at home) - if you are willing to spend go for a Herman Miller or something on that level - guaranteed hours of comfort and proper support

  13. Oh really? I got a DxRacer delivered this week and i absolutely love it so far!!

You should update us on it in a bit. I am also somewhat in the market for a gaming chair and I have heard that DXRacers wear pretty bad.

  15. Yeah, i definitely did my research before throwing $500 at a chair. Common problems were faulty stitching, broken parts after shipping, and body damage... however i received mine in perfect condition. It weighs 66 pounds which speaks for itself how dense and how well made it is. And in terms of comfort... well i almost fell asleep in it on day 2 :D.

yeah! It is really comfortable but I learned the bad way that your body needs more than wideness and a couple pillows to endure long times of sitting :slightly_sad: haha
again I think the chair did not help but most of it was poor habits, it was all fine before this

This. Absolutely true. The chair you use should give you proper support in the right places AND you also need to make sure that you are using it properly. No matter how expensive the chair or setup, if you aren't using the ergonomics correctly you are quite literally paying for it later on. Follow the instructions correctly, and thoroughly - be sure you don't hunch forward (or backward) to much - and be sure to get up and stretch every once in a while (once every hour or so) There is a reason why gaming marathons ensure - and even REQUIRE - breaks ever so often for the contestants.

I know the DX Racer chairs are very popular, but when I sat in one I was not completely comfortable, so I kept researching and after seeing a review that really related to what I was looking for, I went with a chair from eBlue - the Mazer (rhymes with Razer!) so all good.
