May as well post the specs of my system, though I don't think there's much of a correlation.

Windows 8.1 Home 64bit, fully up to date.
Asus Maximus VII Impact, Z97 chipset (keyboard connected via USB 3.0)
    Intel i5-4690K
    16GB (2 x 8GB) 1600MHz
    Crucial MX100 256GB SSD + 1TB 7200rpm Seagate Barracuda
    EVGA GTX 980
    760W Corsair AX PSU

Once I have some more time I'll see if I can get my keyboard to do the key repeat when connected to my Mac or RPi. So far it's been really rare, and I can't seem to trigger it deliberately.

It never happened to me yet

  3. Hi Elite,

Quite honestly I believe the cause might be the way we play, I experience this issue a lot in GTA V as when driving because of the slight taps I make on keys to drive precise where in CSGO I do not make those slight taps and it ALMOST never happens to me on CSGO, GTA V a lot, last night happened 3 times in 1 hour and just while driving.

Here it has nothing to do with more than one key being pressed, just tested your theory and it would even happen if I focus on just pressing (Yes tapping) one key like the 0 on the numpad.

I can almost guarantee you it is not your system as my keyboard does this on 4 computers including the one at the retail store which is a "Highly Optimized Gaming Computer".

Here is another thing, I gave my keyboard to a friend to test it for me on GTA V and it NEVER happened to him, at least not for the hour that he tested it, I noticed he likes to press his keys down completely as he is not use to a mechanical keyboard.

BUT even with this evidence it is no reason for the keyboard to act that way, as it should compensate for gamers who work very lightly on the keyboard as well.

I believe we have 3 options to fix this:

#1 Someone from Razer's tech depart. should analyze this issue and update the firmware accordingly.

#2 Razer has to call back all units to be checked and replaced/fixed.

#3 We need to swop out this keyboard for something else.

I do believe this matter is pretty much out of our hands as none of us (I assume) are keyboard peripheral technicians. I do hope Razer is watching this thread and are planning to help us out with this issue, I love the keyboard itself and do not wish to swop it out for something else.

Good to hear :), what kind of system do you have and what sort of games do you play ? Also do you use ur keyboard like FlrAeNaK described with short frequent keystroke ?
    Thanks :), great post.
razer must have some info for us as to why this is happening. Surly they have investigated this issue and found a root cause. From my interactions with razer support I feel like they havn't investigated the problem properly and havnt done failure analysis on the boards that have been returned because if they did they should have more information for us. Or the investigation is still ongoing and they don't want to say anything until they have a fix.

Hey, Razer Insider's for everyone. For those that just came in, welcome - we're here to listen and chat.

Edit: We mean it when we say we're listening. It looks like support's tending to our guys here. For those that have yet to get their tickets tended to, PM me your case id, I'll go follow up with support.

Please tell us why we are getting sticking/stuck keys. That's all we want to know......
that and when there will be a fix ofc :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

  8. Yeah,

I mean surely more than just 1 or 2 people have reached out to you guys.

I do believe we all love our keyboards enough to want to fix it rather than exchanging it for something else otherwise we wouldnt be here anymore.

Same issue here, original BW Chroma. I have so far had 2 replacements and they all posses the same issue, I can't just remove synapse as my deathadder and nostromo need it so I'm just stuck in the mud now...

I reached out to Ming on Twitter. He replied with advice to reach out to support. I don't even see the purpose if everyone else has had no luck with supports advice.

  12. To this date, my replacement BW Chroma Stealth didn't show the issue. I'll keep testing it.

    Yes, that would be nice.

    Wow. This.
    This just infuriates me.
It's amazing how jealous other companies are, and to what extent they are willing to go just to bash somebody who is ahead of the game. I will never support any company that blatantly bashes others.

It's kinda funny how they roam the Razer|Insider forums.

What's even funnier is the Cherry-Corsair pact. At least Razer is allowing other companies usage of their switch.
We believe that in order to bring the unfair advantage to gamers worldwide, we need an open source environment by allowing other gaming peripheral makers to share this innovation with us. The Razer Mechanical Switch is available to anybody looking to manufacture the highest quality gaming-grade mechanical keyboards.

Corsair are known for low quality psu's that can fry your whole pc :)

  15. Hi all,

Have any of you gotten in touch with "support" and have they been able to resolve your issues?

  16. There there, Corsair does some excellent PSUs to be fair and honest.

Anyway, I haven't noticed any of the previous issues with my BlackWidow Chroma.

  17. My keyboard started doing this about a week ago. Key stays active till I press it again. I use a matrix profile if that helps at all. Hasn't happen yet since I've stopped running synapse

  18. Synapse has nothing to do with my case nor does any of my software as this happens with my keyboard plugged into different computers.

I completed an RMA of my BW Chroma TE, and I just received the replacement in the mail today. I will be testing it to see if the problem arises again. I will keep the thread updated.
