Has anyone had this issue? I plugged it in and it doesn’t do anything. Does it need to be connected to my laptop to work.

In order to actually use it, I'm pretty sure it needs to be plugged into a compatible computer of some sort.

What are you expecting to see when not plugged into anything?
Not sure ! Maybe some lights ? I’m glad I just need to plug it in. My new razer laptop should arrive any day❤️

This isn't the final answer on anything, but I just read the Razer Core X Chroma Master Guide, and it says "The lighting will only display when the device is connected to the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port of your computer while a compatible graphics card of your computer while a compatible graphics card must be installed for the internal lighting to be visible."

Huh?

Definitely a bit of a grammatical screw-up, there, but the gist of it is that the Core X Chroma needs to be plugged into your computer via USB-C, and there must be a compatible graphics card in the Core X Chroma in order for any lighting to work.

(You probably have the Master Guide - maybe it came with your device - this is under point 14 in setting up your device)

By the way, your avatar, was that taken at one of the Disney parks?

To test it before your system arrived, there’s not much to do maybe if you have usb c laptops you can check the ports since it can also be used as docking station, or iPad Pro or other mobile device that could be charged with TB3, it has also charging functionality up to 100 watt.

@jenfra76 Were you able to get it to work? Don't hesitate to send me a PM should you need assistance with the setup.
Will only switch on (and light up) when attached to the TB3 port of your laptop.
